I am thrilled to have these bags to help with water filtration in an emergency. After what happened in Western North Carolina with Hurricane Helene, I realized that though I live near a water source, it would be extremely difficult to get the water to a state where I could feel comfortable even using it to flush my toilets (the water after Helene became very contaminated and couldn't be used indoors for - anything).Though these filters certainly wouldn't make the water potable or safe to drink, they provide one step in an overall water filtration process in an emergency. For example, I could use them to filter leaves and other debris out of stream water before boiling and filtering it further. The fact that they fit neatly into a 5 gallon bucket is fantastic, and I love that they are both color coded and have the numbers sewn into the seams so I can know which one is which, and I can start by filtering out large debris and gradually make it finer and finer, thus reducing the burden on my potable water filters like LifeStraws. They come in a handy storage bag and take up almost no space on my supply shelf. It would be great if the vendor could make a video showing how to use these for filtering water to prep it for eventual use for either hygiene or drinking purposes.
