ive had these for a few years nowi have cats dogs beardies and birds and a kid let me tell you ive had to wash these ALOTthey are still in great shape just like the day i bought themi just moved and love them so much im buying morethey are machine washablethey hold up reallllly good against pets pet hair and kidsthey block out light soooo freaking good u cant tell if its day or night when u wake up and i have extreme light sensativity these are beyond amazingi even used them as bathtub curtainsyes you read that righti used these curtains bathtub CURTAINS ( with no liner )no molf no mildew no water damage no stains nothingand it matches a peel and stick wall paper i bought for my bathroom yes that was black too ( theres a theme to it i swear)these are my forever curtaims i will never in my life buy another brand or type these are perfect for everything i need them for even covering shower doors as decor ( i know im weird but it looks amazingheres to more years with an incredable curtain and fantastic companyCHEERS-

Very narrow shower. Two rods. One high, one low. Short curtains, but made longer by placement of rods. Style very nice

These curtains are gorgeous. Definitely a statement item in a room and worth the money. Look exactly as pictured.The material is very heavy so make sure you're curtain rods are secured very well to the wall and are durable enough to hold some lbs. They are essentially black out when closed and have an attached sheer black layer which filters light fairly significantly.I took a star off because as others have said, they are short. The top of my curtain pole is at exactly 84". I ordered 84" curtains as I always do so it will skirt the floor. I did 3 different windows with these curtains and all came up exactly 4" short of the floor.My pictures were taken looking out a window very bright window- clear summer sun sky with the sun overhead.

So beautiful!!I just wish THEY MADE NARROWER CURTIANS!!I got these for my single window (knowing these were designed for something much wider) but I couldn't help myself.And I LOVE THEM! but I just wish they made ones the same length, that were for narrow windows!!I plan on getting more for other (windows that are actually wide) pretty soon.Gorgeous! They look expensive too.Super easy to slide onto my curtain rod to hang.

I live in a very old drafty Victorian house that has a lot of bay windows and large open doorways. Being a huge fan of the Addams Family I did a little research into what was traditionally used for cover doorways with no actually door or large entryways. Portières have been used for ages to confine and keep the heat in one room or a series of rooms. These require THICK curtains (which I have used before) but I wanted a nice decorative twist. These fit the bill. I am very happy with the thickness and quality of these curtains. There are not 100% light blocking but I'd say 95% the get really dark. I like the attached valance as well as the sheer. Anyone who has had to do curtains knows it's a royal pain to get things online to match, not to mention expensive. These were the same price as the SINGLE curtains I bought last year with no sheer that were visually similar. Very happy with my purchase, will be purchasing again. They fit perfectly over the large double doorway to my kitchen (48" wide) and are not stretched too thin. It gives the impression they are very thick and robust (which to be honest, they are) but also they are $$$ which they aren't ;) They are also perfectly Eggplant color, which is what I wanted. A dusty dark purple. I will have to hem them a little---but that's not a problem. They fit into a thick 1.5" rod with ease. keep in mind these are heavier curtains so you'd need something more substantial to keep them up---I'd recommend an actual curtain rod or cupped dowel rod. Tension rods will fail, even the thick ones. I kind of wish the sheer was detachable---but I'm crafty enough to make that work.TLDR: Pros-ThickVoluminousLight blocking (95%)Keeps heat in rooms and drafts OUT when used as a portièreKeeps drafts OUT when used as a curtain (as long as tight against window)Fancy as HellGorgeous design and colorMatching set---it's a window treatment in a bagHeavy duty and Thick Cons-Heavy (weight)Non detachable sheer (not an issue for me)Bulky (again not an issue for me---might be for some?)Just the Tips:Make sure you use a strong rod to hold these guys--tension rods will not do---trust me on this. Even shower curtain rods. They may work for a bit but these guys are heavy and they will fall. Keep in mind if you have taller people in the house it might be annoying to walk through them.Enjoy!
