My husband had one of these prior and someone liked it so much they helped themselves to his. I bought him this replacement for Christmas and he was very happy with it. Very sturdy and convenient.

It's the biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased from Amazon! The frame is weak. You can torque the nut holding the blade and bend the frame. Try cutting through a bone of any size and plan on spending the rest of the day cutting through it. Btw, moisture from the meat will rust the blade, even after washing and drying then coating with veggie oil. Get a good hacksaw it will work better. Problem is depth of cut. Which is not much better with this saw. Do not recommend.

This will cut "straight through" a 3.5" limb. The build quality is robust.Simple to assemble and to re-stow.Stowage is very compact ... very nice case/sheath.All parts are securely retained within the thoughtful case.A bit hefty, but more durable and functional than lighter duty options. My ONLY gripe is that it does not come with an extra replacement blade.Neither is it clear where and how to obtain replacement blades.Still, looks like you could build a few shelters and a few dozen fires, with it.It is worth the money, even if no replacement blades can be found/had.It will last for one or two hard-camping seasons, but not for every-day use. This is a great expedition pack-saw and will go wherever you do.It should come with an extra timber blade and an order form, for more.FOUR STARS !I like it !
