At first I was taken aback by the small size of the tubes, but you only need a little to do a lot. The product is top quality and I love all the colours... nice thing is next time I can order the tubes I use more often and still have the other colours.... really good product and great service. Package arrived in a timely fashion and well packaged.

Excellent customer service! My initial order had a defect and the seller quickly remedied the situation for me. Will definitely recommend to others, and buy again! RubNBuff helped me change the look of my furniture. I had a silver lamp I turned gold. I was initially going to throw out the lamp bc it didn't match but now it totally matches. Thanks to RubNBuff!

Why I was a child, my mother used to find old picture frames to restore and resell to help food on the table. Rub and Buff was her go to product. It is easy to use, but it must be used carefully. Once it touches a surface it adheres to that surface. This multi-packet is nice because it gives you a range of colors, and when you are trying to repair anything gold with a luster, you find out quickly that there are a million different types of gold. Some are cool, some can lean toward pink. So this packet gives you range to work with. A little of this goes a long way. What I recommend is taking some from the tube and cutting it from the spout with a toothpick on to foil covered plate, and then working that to mix. once you have a color match, let the material sit for a minute or two, then apply a small amount carefully to the surface, pause again, carefully remove the excess, and then let it sit for about 15 minutes to a half hour before you buff. This lets the pigment bond with the surface. Remember, once this hits a surface, it acts like an oil paint, so be careful. Acetone is your best option for cleaning. Read instructions. But like I said, this is a great product!

From the wife: First of all, this sample pack? A brilliant deal! Seriously. A single tube is $5 at Michaels, so this is basically a steal. Plus, a little goes a very long way.I've now used these to "steampunk" a Nerf gun, remodel a small trunk, and sample on card stock and mixed media. Here's what I learned...The Nerf gun. I used the Rub N Buff like paint with a brush. I don't recommend this if you want a smooth finish. A number of the colors are rather grainy when you apply them. I did find that when I switched to using my finger to rub it on and smooth it out, I got a much smoother finish. The Nerf gun was plastic orange and green. Bright orange and green. I used the black Rub N Buff and it provided 100% coverage with two thin coats. Then I added other metallic colors to areas.I experienced the same thing with the grainy finish on the truck. Sometimes the grainy finish lends a "weathered" quality to whatever you're applying it to, so that's not always a bad thing. It depends what look you're going for. The graininess was great on the accents, but not on the main areas.Still, the colors are true and beautiful. All in all, I'm really glad I bought them as I will get PLENTY of use out of all of them.

Oooh, I love these for giving me just the right patina on all of my furniture and wood refinishing. One of the best selection of colours I have found.

I love this product and have used it for years. A little goes a long way and the results are always amazing!I have had 1/2 oz tubes of grecian gold, gold leaf, and antique gold for many years. I have used them for jewelry, picture frames, an antique metal lamp, book covers, buttons, scrapbooking, and most recently for my two porch lamps that I thought I was going to have to replace. See the pictures! I still have some left in my original 3 tubes after many more projects than I just mentioned!I was so excited when I saw this 12 pack with many new color finishes I had never tried or known about! They arrived super fast, were packaged very well, and this is such a bargain at this price considering it averages about $6 per tube when purchased seperately.I can't wait to try out my new colors!

I bought this product because I was doing a quick, down-and-dirty, budget upgrade of my guest bathroom, which had been previously trimmed entirely with poorly-aging brass fixtures. I didn't want to pay to replace every fixture in the room, so I decided to try the pewter color on my faucet, drain, door hinges, light and electrical plate, light fixture, mirror frame, towel racks, wall hooks, cabinet knobs and toilet paper holder. When you consider that this is just a tiny little tube of liquid wax, the results are pretty amazing. It's fairly easy to use, although you do need to practice a little bit to find a technique that works for you. It's amazing that such a tiny amount of it, smeared so thin, will cover so completely... especially when you consider I was covering a brass finish with a silver toned one. It does dry fast, so you have to work pretty quickly in one small area at a time. After a few weeks of daily use, the finish held up amazingly well under the circumstances. The light fixture, door hinges, and medicine cabinet frame are great, and the towel bars are pretty good. The finish is starting to wear off the paper towel spool and cabinet knobs - which isn't surprising, considering they get the most wear and tear. I never expected the faucet and drain to hold up at all - even though I added a top coat of polyurethane. I assumed that bathroom cleaners would immediately ruin the finish. After a few weeks, they look ok. There's a bit of water spotting, and I imagine the finish won't last indefinitely. But it still looks a lot better than the old, tarnished brass one. Bottom line, a little effort and a six dollar tube of this stuff made a huge difference in my bathroom and bought me a little time before I have to do a more expensive update. And even then, I might be able to get away with just replacing the faucet, knobs, and TP holder. This product is a great choice for refinishing anything that doesn't get a lot of handling or friction against the finish part - hinges, chandeliers/light fixtures, glazed ceramics, etc. Anything that gets handled a lot should probably get a polyurethane coat afterwards.
