If you're weighing your suitcase stay about five pounds under the fifty pound limit to be safe. I've had a reading of forty seven come up fifty at the airport.

Muy necesario en los viajes , para ayudarte a controlar el peso de las maletas y no darte la sorpresa al momento de documentar que tienes que pagar por el excedente .

I'm a volunteer with a student exchange program and regularly meet students at the airport. The Digital Luggage Scale helps us identify bags that might be overweight in time to redistribute the load before checking in, saving time and money. I can't imagine why I waited so long to get one. It seemed quite accurate, consistent with the airport scales to within three-tenths of a pound.

If you are an international traveler, you will know that using a bathroom scale to weight those fifty pound luggage can be difficult. I came across this scale accidentally. I loved it at first sight and ordered immediately. When it arrived, I fell even more in love. If you have paid excess baggage charges at the airport, you will really appreciate this portable scale. It shows accurate weight and it looks elegant and rich. I received many compliments for its great looks and good accuracy. Wonderful scale.

I found this device easy to use. It is also easy to store which is very practical when you go on a trip. I find it very handy that this device "remembers" what it just weighed after you put your luggage down.I usually make purchases on my trips so this device will come in handy again when I fly back home.Of course, it can weigh other things also if you can find a way to use the built in hook.Additional Comment: I purchased this product specifically to use for going on an Alaskan cruise. It was really handy for making sure my luggage for the airplane and the cruise ship were within the specified limits. It was also handy on the return trips to make sure our luggage was still within limits after all the purchases we made on this trip.

After being overweight on a return flight home and having to pay $75 for the bag, I decided it was time to get a small lightweight scale that we could bring on trips to avoid being overweight on our return. It's also been great for checking our bags before departing. We haven't experienced any issues that others have reported and have owned it 6 months with it always working great. We've taken it on 3 trips and it's always kept us underweight. We were just under by a 1lb our last trip, but that's enough. It's hard to tell how accurate it is, but I trust it within 2 lbs so always keep our bags under 48lbs and its always worked so far.

So far so good. I got this scale about 2 or 3 weeks ago now, and have tested it around the house on various things. It seems to work flawlessly. I got it for a vacation I'm going on this fall, so I can make sure my check-in luggage is less than 50 pounds. It's definitely worth what it cost considering it usually cost like $100 if you go over 50 pounds. In the past we've just through away perfectly good clothes at the airport to get our suitcases under the 50 lb mark. Now I'll know before I go to the airport what my weight is. I know you can just put your luggage on a home bathroom scale, but when you're coming home from vacation there's usually no scale in the hotel or whatever you're staying at. And this is great to through in your bag and use on your trip. The unit I received from Amazon does not include the strap as pictured, it's a big metal hook. Very strong through and pretty good size. All in all, I think this is a must have for any traveler. I would recommend

I am very satisfied with this. One reviewer said it is not capable of measuring KG, that is incorrect, you can use either pounds or kilograms. The only downside is that mine has a metal hook instead of a web strap as shown in the picture. I would have prefered the strap. If it had the strap as shown, I would have given it a 5 star review. But, it still meets my needs and is priced right so I am not returning it.

I got this for our 2-week family vacation to Florida based on the decent reviews from others that purchased this unit. I tested on several items with known weight and they were within .1 lb and was very happy. Then the night before our early morning flight out when I tried to weigh the actual suitcases it started to behave strangely. Sometimes it would just turn off while I'm lifting the luggages, and other times it just wouldn't come on. I did the weighing the old fashion-way, using the bathroom scale, but I took the unit with me to play with it during the vacation. I ended up buyin a new set of batteries (it used 2032 watch batteries). It worked good at the beginning, but even though I had the switch in the OFF position, it seems to drain it very quickly.I'm not going to bother returning. I'll just have to pull out the batteries when not in use. I'd look elsewhere when it's time to replace it with a better scale unless you want to use it and throw it away when the battery drains.
