Those are the old ones. New one is shiny like the pics on Amazon. All functions work as intended. Old one failed one day after acting up with the ratcheting issue when deployed or retracting so we ordered to a pickup location. 3, 5/16 head machine screws and spacers must be saved for reuse. If you install with the steps up and doors closed no cutting or reversal of wiring required. I'll order a spare to carry along. If in a jam remove the old step motor and keep the steps in with rubber bungee for travel and manual deployment until part arrives.

My motorhome has Kwikee Electric RV 25 Series Steps (with High Torque 9551 motor). Problem was that the original step motor would not retract the steps fully. With some research, I learned there is no direct replacement from Kwikee or Lippert. (Lippert does have a ~$500 conversion kit that looks difficult to install - no thanks.)I was able to replace the original motor with this motor after addressing 4 items. First, the gear on this motor is a little taller than the original - using slightly longer spacers on the bolts resolved this. Second, this motor was wired backwards from my original motor - so the wires for connection needed to be reversed. Third, the wire connectors are different - so I cut off the existing connectors and replaced with a new two wire, weatherproof connector. Fourth, the step travel seemed to be a little different such that when extending, the motor would reach the end of the gear on the step and make a cluck sound - I adjusted the extension stops on the step assembly to prevent this.While this took a little more time, effort than I anticipated, the steps are retract and extend nicely.

The product was easy to install on our 2023 Winnebago view that came with a very flawed motor from the factory. Winnebago would not replace it or work on it, but this was probably a 10 minute fix once you climbed under the couch and plugged in directly to the step controller

This motor looks to be of good quality. It was a no nonsense install. I've gotten a similar motor previously and that one lasted for 2 years... hoping this one lasts longer and will update once time passes. The price was excellent and so far it is good and recommended by me.
