Maybe a defective item, but the pressure regulator seemed to have gotten stuck and overheated. Which melted it in the first hour of use.

I bought this for a mytee ii 8070. At frist I thought it didint fit because the wires are pointing opposite ways than the original, but i decided to give it a try and it fit.3 stars because even thought it says it has the same strength (120 PSI) the stream feels quite a bit weaker than the original (I cleaned the hose and replased all the 1/4 valve connectors and still felt weak). I will have to make it work like this for now, eventually i will plan to buy original. I saved about $60.00 by buying this one instead of original. You make your own math.

So far so good cheaper than getting a pump from Mytee, works well back up and running.

I was using this pump in an aeroponics set up with a 5 gallon accumulator, and a digital pressure switch. It ran at most twice a day for about 2 minutes each time. Worked perfect at first, I tested the pressure higher than 120 by the way, I got the pressure around 140 before I decided to stop lest something break in a spectacular fashion. But I had it pump the accumulator tank to about 115PSI then shut off, switches back on at 100psi, back to 115. Anyway, one day I get home and my plants are wilted, and the pump does not turn on. So I take the top off of the pump, check for clogs, everything seems to function. Take my setup apart for the bajillionth time, test the pump just by itself. It barely pumps water, at about maybe 5psi, can easily stop it with my finger. Seems the motor wouldn't turn and keeps getting stalled. So I take the motor apart which required me clamping it and using a hydraulic press, I see the inside absolutely destroyed. A little piece of magnet from the stator broke off, and then proceeded to destroy the rest of the inside in a nice black sand texture that doesn't seem to want to come out of my fingers. I could have bought a cheap chinesium pump but I paid extra for a heavy duty pump made in USA. Kind of funny the $16 pump I used and abused for the last 2 years hasn't given out, and is currently keeping my plants alive while I find a high pressure replacement. Anyway, I don't think I can get a return after taking it apart, plus I was past 30 days anyway. I'm going with a chinese pump next maybe ill have better luck.

This got my Mytee Lite III back up and running. This pump fit the existing lines and mounting holes perfectly. Good price for a common failure part.
