About this item

  • 15 Gauge Black Powder Coated Steel Frame
  • 15 Gauge Black Powder Coated Steel Frame
  • #60 UV Treated Poly, Double Layer Pillowcase Netting
  • Heavy Duty 18 oz Vinyl & 1 ½” Impact Foam Padding

7’ x 7’ baseball L screen comes with a foam and vinyl wrapped black powder coated steel frame. The foam and vinyl allow schools and teams to outfit their baseball net with their organization’s color. Most importantly, the foam and vinyl wrap drastically decrease deflection when the baseball makes contact with the pitching net frame. In today’s game, most players are taking batting practice from distances around thirty feet which increases the chances of a violent deflection. Furthermore, the foam and vinyl will increase the lifespan of the pitching net because it prevents the baseball from pinching the net between the ball and frame. 7’ x 7’ pitching net is heavy enough to endure years of punishment, but is light enough to easily move around in a batting cage. The 60 gauge, double layered net provides industry leading protection. Exit speeds for baseballs can exceed 100 MPH and anything less than 60 gauge net can show quick wear and tear.

Seems like a good product, but you’d think they could at least provide some instructions on their website. Putting the frame together is easy, trying to figure out what they planned on for putting on the foam and vinyl isn’t intuitive. I mean, anyone can get it to work, but is everyone putting it together as they planned? Who knows.

Easy to assemble. Sturdy and looks pretty durable. The pillow netting is thick and the quality is good. It should be able to sustain the hard hit balls by a high school baseball player.

Pretty easy to put together. Great size for a batting cage and for protection.

Quality of the product seems decent. Poles are thick, but are spray painted, not powder coated. When unboxing the poles, some already were showing rust. There weren't instructions in either box. Luckily, the poles do have letters, so it was easy to figure out where each pole connected. However, the holes don't line up well. After a lot of shaking and banging, got the frame assembled but did scratch off a bunch of the cheap paint, which will for sure lead to more rust. Put the net on, how do you wrap the orange cords to hold the net? Figured out a way that seems to hold it, hopefully they stay on. This was fine until you came to the padding and vinyl cover. Had to guess at where to cut and stop each piece of foam, then figure out cutting the viny. Trial and error go me through this, but I wouldn't call it easy to assemble, and I'm worried how it will hold up with the rust. Hopefully the rust won't start discoloring the turf. It looks good once it was finally assembled.
