Manufactured from heat treated 8740 chrome moly steel with a black oxide finish, these studs are rated at 170,000 psi tensile strength, which is substantially stronger than Grade 8 hardware. The 3/8" diameter studs have a 1.670 overall length, and the 16 piece set comes complete with premium-quality washers and compact 12-point style nuts that are great for tight, hard-to-reach areas.

with my headers was extremely tight to get all nuts on studs, had to work way up to get nuts by headers, to tighten had to grind a boxend wrench down very thin

The studs worked perfectly on my big block dragster. Makes installing the headers a breeze and saves the threads on my aluminum heads by not having to remove and install as you would if you had only header bolts. I would buy them again for any of my street cars as well.
