I got this as a cheaper alternative to a more expensive brand recommended by surgeons at veterinary school because I only needed them for one lab. I can see why doctors don't recommend this brand. They have a lot of tension and friction when handling and seem to need some oil. Not ready out of the box. These made for a very unpleasant lab.

I used the needle holder to see up a seam in a leather chair using a round needle. Impossible to do without something to hold it.

Grips the needles nicely and the scissors cuts neatly too. Nice to have 2 tools in one so you dun have to change them.

They are the original needle holder, they are just the largest set I have seen. I am used to them being about 3/4 this size. Can't say I have used them yet, but that is a good thing.
