POWER UP! With AutoLoc's power door lock conversion kits you can transform your manual door locks to automatic door locks in under an hour! Each kit is specifically designed and manufactured with the highest quality parts. Every kit comes with AutoLoc's Limited Lifetime Warranty. AutoLoc's 2 Door Central Power Door Locking System is unique because it allows you to activate your locks using your original plungers, eliminating the need to mount switches in your door or fill in the hole left by your original door plungers. When the plunger in your drivers door is depressed or raised, or your key is turned, the other door in your vehicle automatically power locks or unlocks. This is easily accomplished because of AutoLoc's exclusive 5-wire actuators with built in micro-switches, which communicate with one another to act simultaneously, resulting in prompt, professional performance and easy installation. GO KEYLESS! The CK2000 includes AutoLoc's famous KL400 Keyless Entry Unit which offers superior quality and ultra-compact design, but despite it's small size it is packed full of features. The KL400 is a 2-function unit which will lock and unlock your doors and still have four channels of output left for additional accessories such as trunk pop, windows up/down, remote start, or any future expansion you might have in mind. Features like Parking Light Outputs (2 flashes for lock, 1 flash for unlock), Code Rolling Technology, and a Starter Kill output (RA1000 relays required) ensure your vehicles security. DON'T BUY JUNK! AutoLoc's kits are top quality and back by a Limited Lifetime Warranty. AutoLoc's central locking kits eliminate the need to mount additional switches in your vehicle. Unlocking and locking your doors is accomplished by the original factory door plunger. This results in a factory installed look! For added convenience locking/unlocking the front doors will lock/unlock all the other doors. Autoloc offers kits with and without remotes! Kits are available for ALL cars, vans, & trucks. Worked just fine for me. There is a certain amount of customization required and you need to plan the install carefully. I had to adjust the alignment a few times to get smooth, reliable operation. Instructions aren't the best. But that's just the nature of the beast. For what it is, they work fine and have all the bits necessary. The remote unit has several extra functions available which is nice. The buttons on the remotes are a bit dicey - the lock can get stuck under the case easily - and range is limited.

Got this kit and installed it in a 93 Ford Ranger - not too difficult if you are mechanically inclined. Got the central door lock portion to work correctly - when you lock/unlock one door the other door automatically locks/unlocks. The problem came in trying to get the remote keyless portion to work. Nothing I did made the remotes lock or unlock the doors. Hooked up the light flasher circuit to make sure the remote was working. Then followed the instructions to "teach" the unit the wireless remotes and could get it to learn one remote, but not the other. Even after the unit "learned" the one remote, still couldn't get the locks to work remotely. Tried calling AutoLoc, tried emailing AutoLoc and got absolutely no response. So forget the technical assistance! I've replaced with a SPAL central door lock / Valiant Remote Lock and had no trouble gettign it to work correctly.

I bought this kit due to a recommendation from an auto enthusiast friend. He stated that the manufacturer had a very good reputation of providing quality products. I was going to purchase this kit directly from the vendor but found the exact same kit on Amazon for nearly $30 dollars cheaper (although today it is several dollars more). The previous reviews did not scare me off because I'm very familiar with the problems associated with installing a "universal kit" on a vehicle. I installed this kit on a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LS. I would rate the overall quality of the kit with 4 Stars. However, I would agree with the other reviewers that the instructions for the wiring was lacking. However, I was able to download the manufacturer's instructions and these provided a little more detail. The big issue is that this kit provides a couple of control boxes and the majority of the wires from one of the boxes are not used unless you want to tap into other features. I only wanted the autoloc feature and therefore only need to worry about the Loc (blue/white), Unloc (green/white) , Power (red) and Ground (black) wires. I also had the same issue associated with pushing the "lock" button on the remote and the door unlocking and pushing the "unlock" button and the door locking. This simply has to do with how you mount the actuators. Remember this is a "universal kit" made to supported a large number of vehicles. This is easilly corrected by switching the Loc/Unlock wires. In other words instead of connecting the Blue/White wire to the Brown wire and the Green/White wire to the White wire you swap these and connect the Blue/White wire to the White wire and the Green/White wire to the Brown wire. Finally, the installation of this kit will take a good afternoon to a day to install depending on your confidence and abiltiy. To say this kit can be installed in an hour is just wrong. My daughter loves the new power locks and the convience it provides - for $90 dollars and a little sweat - you can't beati t.

I purchased this kit to install on my 1999 F150. Installation of the components was fairly straightforward, and, except for routing the wiring harness behind the dash, it went fairly easily. Getting the wiring in place was extremely difficult, not because of any fault with the kit, but simply because the space behind the dash of my truck is extremely tight. I persevered, though, and finally managed to get the wires through. The instructions, by the way, are very poor. The main instructions are printed on the inside of the cardboard sleeve of the box, and are hard to read at best. The additional instructions for the remote system are confusing. The instructions also would have you hook the remote to the main control box incorrectly, causing the system to work backwards (i.e., unlock when it's supposed to lock, and vice-versa.)Ubfortunately, after installation, the system did not work, either in "manual" mode, or with the remote. I did some troubleshooting, and determined the actuator on the right door was apparently internally short-circuited, and the excessive current draw had damaged the control box.I emailed the importer (yes, it's made in China, but is imported by an American company), and received a reply in fairly short order. They asked me to call them and talk about the problem. When I called, I had to work my way through a tortuous voice menu to finally get a real human. The man I talked to seemed to be reasonably knowledgeable, gave me some ideas for further troubleshooting, but made no offer to replace defective components. I tried to ask him directly about this, and he said I needed to go through Amazon.com, since I bought it through them. Of course, Amazon.com will only exchange the entire kit, and I have no desire to remove the wiring harness after the difficulty I had installing it!I have emailed the importer again about the problem (over a week ago!) and have yet to receive a reply. I have tried calling them again, and, even after I manage to get past trhe voice menus, I wind up on hold for long minutes, until I finally get disconnected.I'm willing to accept the idea that bad parts sometimes happen, and will need to be replaced. Apparently, though, this company is not interested in backing the product they sell. That being the case, I suggest you look elsewhere for a different make kit.
