Bought this for my mother in law she is just getting into technology her complaint was it didn't come with recipes so the product is affordable and does everything it claims a great value just needs more recipes

First of all the yogurt maker came previously opened with a soiled inner chamber. Secondly, you literally have to tip the whole yogurt maker to get the lid off. Because of poorly thought out construction, there is nothing to grip for purchase on the top of this unit. There is a slight curvature to each side of the middle where on would assume you could grab the lid, but because it is made of smooth plastic and there is no actual indent, the fingers slip right off. There is also no space to pry the lid up by inserting fingers or nails under the side of the lid. You would literally have to tip the unit and dump your newly made yogurt to get it open.
