My wife and I have 12 honeybee hives and we use these on all our hives. Keeps out bigger hornets and large unwanted pest. Also makes it easier for bees to protect the hive. Flip with small holes down to transport hives when need. We have had to trim the length but better to trim than to be to short.

This item is for a 10 frame not a 8 frame hive. We’re going to send it back. I wish the seller actually stated it only fits a 10 frame hive.

Great mouse guards. Sides can be trimmed with tin snips if it is too long (if your bottom boards have sides). No instructions. So if you have never used these before, the brackets go on the sides. You can easily slide the mouse guard out to reverse or remove.

These in concept look pretty good, in practicality not so much. Depending on the hive bottom you use, these require modifying ( sawing a portion out ) of the hive bottom for these to work rendering other moving/robbing screens and other entrance accessories useless. If you have just a few hives and don't move hives around a lot, these would be a good buy

Guards do not come with screws or instructionsAlso had to trim ends of guards so they would fit correctly!I do like the fact that the guards can be used as a mouse & travel guard!
