So far it appears to be working as expected. I have a variable speed pump and the GPM increase/decrease when I change the pump speed. I am really impressed with the quality. Heavy/thick plastic with easy to read numbers. I never mind paying more for a Made In The USA product.

Easy to install, seemed to work well. Only lasted about 15 months though, which is not long enough for something that costs this much.

I was either going to buy this one or the other brand that is also a check valve, but I didn't need another check valve and this is much cheaper. It's excellent quality from a US company. As far as technology, I like the pitot tube for measuring accurate flow rates as opposed to other types. Also, in the pictures attached I added the instruction pages. Looking at those always helps me feel better before buying a product, so I added it here for others.Install was easy. It took 10 min or so. After closing all the valves and turning the pump off, I used a 5/8 inch drill bit to make a hole and used the supplied clamps to clamp it it place.A couple of considerations:The instructions specify how much straight pipe is needed before and after (in the top right corner of page. For my 2 inch ID pipe, it was 10 inches before and 4 in after. The pickup holes for the pitot tube are small, so it should be installed after the filter.Orientation and leveling/plumb is important. If you follow the instructions you won’t have any trouble.

I purchased the flow meter one year ago.It is installed on an indoor pool that is open 17hours a day 24/7.I’m writing this review now because I wanted to know how well it preformed and what it was like to service. This unit is accurate and works fantastic. It is incredibly easy to clean! Extremely happy with this product and can foresee no issues arising in the near future.https://www.amazon.com/Freemasonry-FACTS-mans-journey-Spirit/dp/1546715363/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1506542984&sr=8-1&keywords=freemasonry+facts

Works fine. We never had it before with the old single speed pump. I would now consider a flowmeter an absolute necessity to know how much of the pool water you are circulating in a given amount of time. You can read the GPM being pumped. Since our pool is 1000% better now, you would have to attribute this in part to being able to know the hours of pumping needed to filter all 25,000 gallons at the different available speeds. We've had it a few months now. The cost of a flowmeter is very cheap - compared with pumping too much and wasting electricity - or pumping too little and having the pool go green. Only possible quibble I would have is the flowmeter sticks out above the pipe: if it's anywhere it can be kicked by a foot or snagged by a hose, kiss it goodbye - so you better have protection in mind when installing.

I installed this meter in my swimming pool piping and it was easy and quick to install and provides accurate information on flow rate. I used this to get the flow rates before I changed my pump and filter and after doing this I am getting 25% more flow using a new 1 HP pump vs. old 1.5 HP pump so the energy savings will pay for the upgrades in
