The complaints online about Intel's 7260 goes back to 2013. The Bluetooth feature will not work. Intel is giving people the run around: Blaming the buyer. If I am having difficulty, it should be easy to get help with it. There is no help. I know my computer is compatible because the WIFI works fine. I only needed to add the Bluetooth feature. The device is clearly defective since the bluetooth function does not work. I will have to return it.After removing it, I noticed that nothing on it indicates Bluetooth, or BT. And the pins were lesser than my original wifi card.

I bought this to upgrade my 5 year old Dell XPS-L702x Win 7 laptop to maximize my new AC dual band router. It is compatible with the laptop and works OK, but I still was not getting my ISP's maximum download rate of 50Mbs with 5GHz, regardless how far/close to the router I am or how I configure the latest Intel driver. I then replaced my HDD with a SSD and did a clean install of Windows 10 home from a .iso file. Windows installed all drivers except for the Free Fall monitor (second HDD) and the card reader. After the Win 10 install, I am now getting the full 50Mbs 5GHz downloads with no adjustments to the Intel driver. FYI, I could get at or near 50Mbs "speed test" before the Win 10 upgrade with either 2.4 or 5GHz band, but standard speed tests are not a true test of real performance. I use "testmy.net" to test my performance as they use a larger file sample. With them I was only getting 30-35Mbs 5GHz and 25-30Mbs 2.5GHz before installing Windows 10. Between the 7260 WiFi, the SSD, and Windows 10, I now have a great updated laptop that meets my needs for about $160. Better than the $1500 plus cost of a new comparable laptop.

I installed this seamlessly on my Dell Inspiron 7720 17R in about 5 minutes. I had previously been unable to keep a steady WiFi signal after the windows 10 update, which was a known side effect of the upgrade and my machine; the previous wifi card driver and windows 10 didnt like eachother... Nonetheless, for $20 bucks, approximately, and 5 minutes, I now have much faster speeds with a dual band ac capable card and I can actually use my laptop!! I searched and searched online for compatible cards for my machine and this one does not list my machine but I have had no issues and completed no extra steps. I am running the 18.20.0.9 Intel driver.I just wanted to update my original review to state that I did loose bluetooth, I do not use bluetooth on my pc but if that is important please be aware.

After flashing the BIOS on my HP Pavilion DV7T-7000 to F.2D Rev. A and installing this 7260 wifi card, the laptop booted up as normal, indicating HP removed the whitelist for aftermarket components that they have had in place for the past 10+ years.I was pleased to see that Windows 10 automatically recognized the wifi card and did not need any drivers. I easily connected to my Asus RT-AC68R. I was getting about 850mb/s in the same room as the router. As I moved to the next room away, the speed slowly began to drop. At 40 feet away from the router, through several walls and tons of interference, the speed dropped to about 200-300mb/s. This is all relative, though, because the connection speed has more to do with the antenna and interference than the actual card.Still, I'm happy with the price and thrilled that it works as well as the conditions permit.

Great product, installed in the Asrock x99 mITX motherboard after the dedicated wifi card died. This card is easy to install and worth every penny.Only downside is that it took a month to get to me, but works 100% and retains signal well.

Just to say excellent. Both Wifi (5G) and Bluetooth work out of the box in my Ubuntu distro. Very smooth, in the picture you can see "sudo lspci -v".

Works really well on the Dell Inspiron 17R SE 7720 laptop. Previous card was Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230, and it would not even get close to my 300mbps speed that I'm paying for. It would only get MAX 40mbps. That speed just wasn't enough. Now with this intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 Plus Bluetooth card, I am getting 170 MBPS, and am finally reading the 5GHZ band that my router puts out. Previously it was getting only 2.4ghz, so that is a big upgrade. Anyways, I did realize that when I first installed it with the correct drivers, Bluetooth didn't show up at all. I thought, oh, that was expected. I previously read online that people with this card have to cover pin #20 and Pin #51 to successfully get the computer to register Bluetooth. So, I did that for this card, and WALA! I finally got bluetooth. Now my wireless mouse works. Yup, I am very satisfied with this. It has been a major upgrade for this 3 year old laptop, and it was well needed. I give this card a 5/5. :)

The old WLAN DW1501 network adapter in my Dell XPS X8300 desktop had become a wireless bottleneck. Today I replaced it with this 7260 and couldn't be more satisfied. Running over our Netgear 1600AC wireless router, my Xfinity internet speed jumped from 32Mbps to a sizzling 124Mbps, as fast as a wired connection! Installation notes: 1.) You'll need a fine tool such as needle-nosed pliers to reattach the two antenna wires, as they are difficult to position accurately by hand. 2.) This network card comes without installation material of any kind. Before removing your old card, be sure to have a wired ethernet connection in place, or you'll need to download the Intel drivers for the AC7260 in advance. By the way, Intel's website gave me an error 404 when I tried to find the drivers under their 7260 Support link, so just search "Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC7260" online. Via search engine, they're easily found as "Intel PROSet/Wireless Software and Drivers". Just select the one that matches your version of Windows. As some of the other reviewers pointed out, two drivers are required by this card, one set for the card to function as network adapter and the second to function as a bluetooth device. (Don't make the mistake I made of installing the card first and then trying to install the drivers afterward. Windows' automatic "plug-and-play" for hardware installation only recognized the card as a bluetooth device and could not find any drivers for it as a network adapter.)
