I bought a 3/16" x 1' x1 foot long flat brass bar. The listing states this is flat with smooth edges.1. It was not flat or smooth edged. It was extremely curved and jagged edged (from shearing on a metal shear with a very dull cutting blade - I know from experience what this looks like - curvature and rough tearing on cut edge).2. It was not 3'16" (.1875"). It wasn't even close - it was .204" thick.3. It was not a foot long. It was 11 #/4" long.Dissapointed - returning for a refund.

Surface is fairly smooth but not polished, (memory card in picture is for size comparison to finish). End cuts have slight edge burrs, all edges are 90 degrees, and it is flat as can be. Length and width dimensions are a fraction under, as mfg. measurements are doubtless metric, thickness is 0.320 inches.

The finish on the bar was unmarked and it was packed with padding.

This brass flat bar is precisely what it claims to be—a solid, heavy bar of extruded brass manufactured to the specified dimensions. It’s a straightforward product, well-suited for crafts, repairs, and electrical work. However, it’s not cheap, and prices can vary between vendors, so it’s worth comparing options before purchasing. Since brass is a standard material, I’d suggest choosing the most affordable option that meets your needs.
