Thin metal, but I knew what I was paying for. Amazon shipped in an envelope and the 1st one was damaged…. Who’d a thought to ship an instrument in an envelope, right?! I ordered a replacement and guess what… they shipped again in an envelope! This one luckily came in decent condition. This is a good horn at the price to see if you want to continue trying or just hang it up. The mouth piece did come with it too. Sound quality HEAVILY depends on the player.
