Cymbal cleaning is a effort-filled chore no matter which cleaner you use. So, the only metric to judge by is the result. 100% effective cleaning. Will use again.

I have 60’s & 70’s era Zildjian cymbals that I use for jazz. I have used all kinds of products - Groove Juice, Brasso, Barkeeper’s Friend, etc. with varying degrees of success. Personally, I think the vintage cymbal metals need something different. The older cymbals have grooves like a record and aren’t the smoother hammered metals used today. Buckaroo cleaned out the grooves like nothing I’ve used before and my 60’s Zildjians look like they just came from the factory.

This stuff smells along the lines of diesel fuel but works so darn good, will take off logos.

Similar to other wadding cleaners but this works better in side by side comparison. Gives noticeably cleaner cymbal surface so nice touch up don’t expect it to put a brilliant shine on older cymbals.

You can see the before/after. The cymbal was in a precarious condition so that's probably why I had such a hard time. I used the entire bin on that single cymbal most likely due to my lack of experience and understanding of the product. (I couldn't even finish it off)The results were amazing.I would suggest to apply the product and wipe it off with a CLEAN towel immediately (or any sort of clean cloth -you'll need a lot-) and then repeat for every single portion to get best results and optimize the bin.

So, you might eventually get your cymbals clean if you don't mind wearing your hands down to the point that you can longer play your drumset. I'm just saying... It wore off my label and after rubbing and rubbing and rubbing for what seemed like an eternity, my cymbal looks no different than when I started. Also, the can didn't arrive tightly closed so half the cotton wad in the can is dried out and a lot of the cleaner is gunked up at the bottom. So I tried massaging the whole wad to moisten it and try again, but it doesn't matter. You'd be better off getting the good old fashioned paste and using your own rags.

Works well, but doesn't last very long. Seems like no matter how much you use, the cymbal continues to come out dirty! I wish they designed a paste/liquid for this stuff that you could buy and use your own rags, that way you can get a little more out of the cleaner. Once you tear a piece off, it seems like you have to tear another one off right away as the previous piece is just spreading the dirt. Also, THIS WILL remove your emblems. I didn't care too much, but if you're worried about it, this isn't the cleaner for you, unless you tape off the emblems.
