I got two of these for the two Onn 4K Pro Google TV boxes, and they work great. The included Ethernet jack on the Onn units are shamefully only 100Mbps. They're more reliable than Wi-Fi but slower. These adapters solve the speed issue while keeping the reliability of a wired connection. I realize most will be perfectly happy with Wi-Fi streaming, but I'm kinda old school and trust a wired connection over wireless.

I installed on my LGOLED65C9 TV and it worked great! I had been using the ethernet port and was getting about 90Mbps, once I installed this into the USB port I am getting around 300Mbps consistently. My internet service provides up to 400Mbps. Had no issues having the TV recognizing the USB port.

So far, so good. Speed jumped from 100 to 300 Mbps. Keep in mind that this will work with apps but not with your DLNA server. I have rooted TV, so I alternate my apps to work with my own media server.

Works with LG C1 65" OLED. You just put it in and it works. The dongle is USB 3.0 but this TV's ports are just USB 2.0. it's still faster than the built-in 10/100mb Ethernet port. I went from 94 Mbps to 206 Mbps on the Netflix app speed test. Mind you my home Internet is just 200 Mbps so theoretically it can go even faster.

I used this to try and increase the speed of data for my smart TV which has a native 10/100 ethernet card, as all TVs have this issue. I was able to get double the speed by using this device and connect the cat6 cable to the TV's USB 3.0 port which enabled the increased speed to about 200 Mbps. However, using WIFI on the TV was giving me about 200 as well but would drop in some cases. Using this device, I'm getting the higher speed on a constant basis without any dops or interruptions which is always welcome. So the product DOES work well, but my device is the issue of not being able to receive higher speeds. I used this device on my PC and was getting a speed of 960Mbps which tells me that the device works very well and as advertised.

This tiny gadget can greatly improve the performance of certain television sets.It allows you to hardwire a TV internet connection via Ethernet, through a USB 3.0 port.I am using a 2021 Sony XR-77A80J or 'A80J' as it is typically referred to. Despite being a premium TV, units such as the A80J have 100mbps download limit capabilities when hardwired through their Ethernet port.Wi-Fi does not have any limits, but is susceptible to degradation, stability issues, etc. This adapter provides a workaround, allowing for the stability of Ethernet, without any speed limitations. This is done by utilizing built-in USB ports (USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 for even better speeds).By increasing the internet speeds seen by the TV, not only do you ensure that you receive the best resolution possible from your streaming services, but it also benefits the overall user experience by speeding up load times on each of the apps. With Sony TVs in particular, the Bravia Core streaming service requires a minimum of 113Mbps seen by the TV to ensure the best resolution/audio.In my own setup, I was able to attain the following speeds through the built in speed-test in the Netflix app.Wi-Fi : 46.69MbpsWi-Fi through eero 6 w/ hardwire to A80J Ethernet port: 93.13MbpsWi-Fi through eero 6: 108.92MbpsWi-Fi through eero 6 w/hardwire through adapter to USB 3.0 port: 205.81MbpsA few days ago, my Sony A80J was seeing roughly 45Mbps via Wi-Fi.Today, it is seeing 205Mbps through use of this adapter. This represents a nearly 450% increase in download speed seen by the A80J, ensuring that this premium TV will actually be used to its full capabilities.Currently, my internet plan is capped at 350Mbps. Unfortunately, due to placement restrictions, our A80J is on a different floor of the home, and in the opposite corner of our main router. This setup was improved by placing an eero 6 (provided by ISP) as an extender for the network near the TV.While the extender itself is still wireless, it greatly boosted network speeds seen by functioning as a mesh network. This alone more than doubled the speeds seen by the TV. Hardwiring through the adapter resulted in the best experience though. If I had the ability to hardwire through the adapter to our main hub, this speed would no doubt be maxed out at the 350Mbps provided by my internet service. This adapter is plug-and-play. You literally plug the ethernet cable in one end, and plug the other into the USB port on your television set (USB 3.0 for best speeds if you have it, otherwise USB 2.0 will work).Just make sure you disable Wi-Fi on your TV, and you are good to go.100% worth every penny for anyone not making full use of your TV's capabilities.*note that not every adapter works with every TV. I can only confirm that these work with 2021 lineup of Sony TVs.

I can confirm this product work's with the 2021 LG C1 TV. However my TV only has USB 2.0 and I only have a download max speed from my ISP that averages around 100Mbps.The USB 3.0 (USB-A to RJ45) Adapter requires no software installation of any kind. It's simply plug-in-play. After my initial speed tests for my personal gains this product was not any different for me personally to keep due to the 2021 LG C1 TV only has a USB 2.0 port and does not increase the speed's of my internet to my TV than the built-in Ethernet port on the back of the TV. Sony has a new TV that support's USB 3.0.• If you have a Gigabit Internet Speed and have USB 3.0 and above this product is a must have.• If you own a laptop that doesn't have a Ethernet port this product is for you.• If you have Gigabit Internet Speeds and 100 Mbps Ethernet port on your computer and have USB 3.0 and USB-A port this product is for you.Overall a great product to have if it benefits you personally. My only personal grips would be the very short cable. It needs to be a few more inches longer. Maybe 2 to 3 inches longer. Also to note: This device doesn't work with the PlayStation 5. I just had to try out since it was there to test.Would rate the product higher if the cable was longer.

Update 2: Just received a replacement from Cable Matters, and as expected, Windows 10 recognized the device instantly without needing to install driver manually, on USB 3.0 ports!! Good speed and reliable connection after 2-hour gaming/streaming! The first adapter should have worked the first time but I'm giving it a five star for the company's fast response and easy resolution. They included prepaid envelop for me to drop off and return the original adapter to them. The first adapter must have been defective. So anyone having issue with this adapter working on USB 3.0 ports should try getting into contact with Cable Matters. They can probably take care of you very well =)Update: after reading reviews for another product on Amazon, I found people are having issues with USB 3.0 ports. So I tried this adapter on a USB 2.0 port, and boom it worked, even without manually installing drivers as Windows 10 recognized the device and downloaded driver by itself! However, I bought this cable for my laptop, which does not have a USB 2.0 port. If anyone successfully used this adapter on a USB 3.0 port in Windows 10, please let me know. Much appreciation!I don't know how other people can get this thing (UBS 3.0 Version) connected to their computers. There should be no driver needed for Windows 10, because the Windows was able to detect the driver and install them automatically. Even so, after it failed to work that way, I had hope that maybe using a driver directly from the ASIX website, magic will happen. It turns out magic rarely happens. Tried the latest standalone driver as well as the driver installer directly from ASIX, Windows 10 is still giving hardware malfunction notice.Specifically, I've attached the error message to this review as screenshots. First one is the pop-up notification, the second one was the window that gives more info after you click the error message in the notification center. I tried this adapter across various Windows 10 machines and it failed to work on all alike. I suspect a defective hardware.Bummer. I was getting this adapter in a rush to get a project done, but now I'll have to wait for another couple days.
