Ordered Cali ABC & Cali Count for my 17 month old grandson. I rate this product more than 5 Stars. After a week he is already stating his ABCs half way. Even though this book maybe costly for most kids, I may try to gift these books the babies we might know. Great Idea for most people who care.

This book was purchased as a Birthday Gift (2nd Birthday) for a child learning to speak. The parents told me the child recognizes the items associated with each letter. A great educational source!

I actually feel really bad giving this book only 3 stars because it’s made really well and this is a fantastic idea to get children engaged with books and excited about learning at a very young age. The reason for the lower rating is due to the long pause between each page. The alphabet song is broken up and stops between every few letters making it sound like an entirely different song than what is typically taught. Had this book played the entire alphabet song at the end, it would have been so much better. Also, the switch in the back is either on or off, there is no volume control and the volume is pretty low. I do love Cali books, but this one just isn’t my favorite. I do, however, recommend the book entitled, Jingle Bells Six Holiday Songs. For the same price it is rechargeable, has a volume control, and the tunes are sung correctly in tempo and flow. I will keep this one, but from now on I will only be purchasing the rechargeable books.

The book arrived quick and came as described. It came with batteries and all I had to do was turn it on. It does sing as described however the volume is a little low so you have to listen careful, overall great book.

My toddler loves this book. I appreciate the clear sound of the voice & the decent speaker, especially considering its in a book. Replacing the batteries was an issue, I bought 3 different brands all claiming to be the compatible size, but the first two sets were the tiniest bit too small & would not work. 3rd time was a charm.

I didn’t really think much of the way the song feels so disjointed by being so separated and slow between pages but my wife pointed out that it does a better job of teaching our son the alphabet by giving him time to sing along at his own pace. I was going to give it 4 stars but after some consideration and the fact that my son likes books like these with songs and buttons, I think this book is due 5 stars.It will always be hit and miss whether a child likes something that another child likes and whether or not they will learn the same way but my son likes the book and he enjoys interactive books with music so this is a win for us.Books can be hard to get ones your kid really enjoys but when it comes to them learning and expanding their vocabulary I think it’s always worth trying new ones. I think this one is worth a try. My son does enjoy it and I think my younger daughter will too.

This book is definitely best for toddlers, as it's only 6 (12) pages long.It's easy to play the short songs - press the little silver button once to start the song, and again if you're sick of it and want to stop the song.The cartoons are cute, and there is a fair amount of writing per page to help kids learn how to read.It helps teach the littles about all of the letters in the alphabet in a sing song way that they really enjoy.Overall, a great toddler book - we'll be back for more.

Cali's books comes in four different types: sing the alphabet, baby shark, Humpty Dumpty, and dance by classical music. This is an interactive book that sings when you press the button on each page. The best part is that this book comes with batteries so you do not need to buy them separately in order to use this. This is a great way for your kids to learn their numbers and the alphabet all while having fun. The buttons are easygoing press, so your little one can turn them on and off themselves. When you are finished with the book there is a button on the back that you can switch off to save the batteries. The only downside to these books is that they are very heavy so if your little one drops this on their foot or throws it, it may hurt. Also the songs are quite loud, I wish there was some way to adjust the volume but there isn't.

5-stars for durability and sturdiness. Each page is thick and kids can't tear them easily. Front and back covers are hardcover, strong.5-stars for interactive design. Each page plays the alphabet song with the press of a button on the page. Kids love it.5-stars for value for money. Considering the interactive design, overall high quality of build and construction, and the presentation, this is excellent priced at $20 (price while I write this review).

While I do love this book for its educational purposes, it is probably my least favourite Cali book because it is hard to quickly flip the pages to keep up with the song. My toddler loves to turn the pages on her own but if she turns these ones, we end up falling way behind in the song. I usually end up playing the musical version and sing along to it incorrectly so we can get through all the letters and she can turn the pages.There are only two buttons in this book, one “press and listen” and one “press and sing along” which are located in the cover. I think it would be much better if there were buttons on each page so you could take it at your own pace.I do like the simple illustrations and that each letter of the alphabet has a picture of something that starts with that letter. The sparkly cover is also very beautiful and I love the thick, durable pages (especially for rough toddlers).I love that the batteries can be replaced (3 x AG10) and that there is an on/off switch on the back of the book. I only wish there were volume settings, especially when using it before bed.
