I love the pot! I wanted a white coffee pot to go in our camper and this one is perfect.

The kettle is OK but the lid started rusting after the first use.

I need to correct a bunch of people on here who do not have a clue what they are talking about and obviously didn't do any research before purchasing.YES a coffee Boiler is just that, a coffee pot. It's for making cowboy coffee. That means you put your coffee grounds in the water and you boil them. Do you think they had peculators in the old west? No. Coffee boilers were used for coffee, soup, basically anything liquid. And yes, You do drink the coffee grounds, that's the perk of a coffee boiler, you boil it and you don't notice the grounds when you drink them because they've mostly settled at the bottom and what does end up in your cup has soften. This also generally makes for a much smoother cup of coffee.

The coffee pot is great to make old fashioned cowboy coffee. I wish that the spout was up a little further.

I bought this for my camping trips. I love smell and taste this pot can produce... reminds me of family camping on the river when I was a kid. Nothing like the flavor of coffee brewed over a campfire! This pot is rugged and lightweight. Excellent value!!!

The lid connection could be more flimsy and I wonder if it will stay attached long. I also realized it didn't come with the coffee-making insides.

If you want a good kettle for boiling water outdoors (and not a coffee pot for making coffee) then this is a good kettle. It doesn't come with a basket to make coffee, and I didn't get it for making coffee. I got it for boiling water over open flame. I think some gave this negative reviews unfairly due to their expectation of it being a coffee pot. It's a kettle for boiling water, plain and simple. The manufacturer does list that there's no basket for making coffee and that's a plus in my opinion since I drink tea, not coffee and didn't want basket anyway. If you are carrying this in a pack, know that it's 1lb and 12.6 oz. The manufacturer says that's lightweight but you decide. It's made of steel, coated in enamel so it's got some heft which is good for use over open flame, but no so great if you are carrying that on your back. (Every ounce matters when it's you carrying it on your back.) It's a generous capacity that can boil 12 cups of water, and in a pinch, you could make a soup or stew for 1 person in this kettle because it's that large. It has a nice large opening at the top making it easy to get your hand inside for cleaning or for a utensil to stir contents. I think the capacity is one of the best features since water is a must while living outdoors. The ability to boil a larger capacity of water at one time in this kettle makes outdoor living a little easier since you won't have to harvest water as often. It is sturdy, well constructed with a single metal clamp holding the lid on. I think that's a good feature especially if you fill the kettle with snow to melt as your water source. The lid flips open easily and completely yet is held in place so you won't lose it in a creek bed or snow pile while gathering water. It also opens easily so you can check the progress of how hot the contents are. This kettle, in my opinion is great for bushcraft, but I see how casual campers may not like it if they expected a coffee pot. If your expectation of this product is set correctly with the understanding that it's only for boiling water, then I can say this is an excellent kettle for camping or Bushcraft. The only downside in my opinion is the weight but for what this item is, I personally can deal with 1lb 12 oz weight because the pros outweigh the cons (no pun intended). I highly recommend for any camper who has to harvest water while living outdoors. I can absolutely see the benefit of having this with my camping gear as it suits my needs perfectly so I feel comfortable giving it 5 stars and recommending it to others who have similar camping or bushcraft needs.
