I have a Caraway ceramic frying pan that I really like, so I thought I would try these baking pans. I was doing another review for a thermometer, and thought I would throw some scallops in the oven in one of these Caraway baking pans at the same time as a lobster tail that had the thermometer in it, and I was so busy fiddling with the thermometer, that I completely didn't even think about the few scallops I had needing WAY less time in the oven... needless to say, it didn't end well for my scallops! They were burned to a crisp and residue was really stuck to the bottom of the Caraway pan... or so it appeared... I pushed the burned bits around with a plastic spatula lightly and I was surprised that they were NOT stuck! Then super quick wash with soap and water and a regular sponge and my baking pan was COMPLETLY clean with NO scrubbing!I would NEVER do this on purpose, but since I made the mistake and that was really a better test of these baking pans than anything I would do on purpose I thought I would share this experience... because it seems from time to time there are always going to be cooking issues like this, and seeing how great this baking pan performed in this less than optimal situation is really the best test I can think of.I am SO happy with these baking pans! So easy to clean up, even if I make a mistake, but normally I use cooking spray with these pans because I want to make sure whatever I cook in them comes out easily, and when treated properly, they are even easier to clean up!I don't put these in the dishwasher, I don't know if they are supposed to be dishwasher safe of not, but I see no reason to subject them to the abrasive detergent of a dishwasher in high temperatures for extended periods of time, when they are SO easy to just wash out by hand, whether the non-stick surface can take it or not is irrelevant, there is just no reason to ever put them in the dishwasher to find out, just wash them right away and dry them and put them away. I don't put ANY of my pots or pans, or knives in the dishwasher because of the abrasiveness of the detergent and these baking pans are so easy to clean on their own there is even less of a reason to want to put them in there.

Why *shouldn't* bakeware be able to go straight to the table from the oven? These are easily the nicest 9x13 pans I've ever owned. I threw out my metal pans years ago - I'm pretty sure they were 70 years old, from my grandma. They were not in great shape, had hot spots, and didn't cook evenly in general. I've been using glass pans since, but glass has its drawbacks as well for baking.I'm a big pan of ceramic interiors for nonstick purposes and was very excited to snag this set of 2 ceramic coated metal pans. These have a little heft to them, which frankly, I want for my baking. That helps prevent the hot spots and promotes even cooking! I find the ceramic coating super easy to use and clean (I clean by hand - these will never see my dishwasher). And they look gorgeous when I take them out of the oven and move them to the table.I couldn't be more thrilled at this function meets beautiful form. One note I want to make - don't use metal utensils with this as it is possible this could scratch the pan. Wood, silicone, plastic - all of these are fine.

LOVE these. Wish I had these long ago! I have owned a couple of glass pyrex-style 9x13 pans as well as an old beat-up looking square metal pan which I actually preferred over the pyrex because of the square shape. I just don't love the fact that the corner pieces in the glass pans were always oddly shaped. These pans are fantastic. The square shape is a feature I've always wanted, and these are great quality. Heavy, nice handles (also way better than the glass dishes with the handles that are difficult to grip), and VERY nonstick! I made a pudding cake recipe which can be messy and it didn't stick at all and the pans were pretty easy to clean. They are a standard 9x13 dish, which is great. The blue color is pretty and these stack nicely on each other. I am concerned about the scratch resistance, I will try to only use plastic utensils with these but it's worth it for all the other great features of these. Just as an aside these came packaged very nicely, very protected (in multiple boxes!) and nice looking. These would make a great wedding gift, or of course a nice way to spoil yourself as well!

WHAT: Caraway Non-Stick Ceramic 9”x13” Rectangle Pan Duo - Naturally Slick Ceramic Coating - Non-Toxic, PTFE & PFOA Free - Perfect for Brownies, Lasagnas, and More - NavyFIRST IMPRESSION: While heavier than your typical baking pans, these do not have as much heft as I expected given the weights of my other Caraway cookware. They are smaller than the anchor glass baking pan I have but not by much. I like the navy blue color and super smooth surface.BAKING: These pans perform great in the oven. Nothing sticks to the smooth surface. Since there's 2 pans, tonight I baked a cake in one and roasted some veggie for dinner in the other. My cake cooked evenly and nothing stuck.WASHING: I just hand wash my pans. Everything slides right off. I also have some Caraway frying pans and on the rare that I burn something on a little baking soda and non scratch sponge gets it right off.LONGEVITY: Research shows pans from this brand have a short lifespan of 1 to 5 years. To make my pans last as long as possible, I don't use metal utensils. I hand wash them. I don't use them with temperatures over 500*F. I treat my pans well so I hope they will last longer for me.GIFTABLE: Yes! These are beautiful high end pans. And, it's a two pack, so 2 presents!OVERALL: These are a great option for anyone who wants safe & pretty non-stick pans. I'm concerned about the short life span that is typical with non-stick cookware, but I'm hoping for the best.
