These plates fit perfectly with an M&S central vacuum system that was installed 20 years ago. Plastic turns yellow after 20 years, so I bought these to give the house a new fresh look. Just unscrew the old ones, remove the wires, attach the wires to the new ones, then screw in the new plates to the existing bracket in the wall. Works perfectly!

My old vacuum covers were somewhat yellowed and I didn't like the look of them. These new ones fit perfectly and provide a much smoother appearance. I replaced 4 of mine so far.

Works as it should, but you can see when the vacuum turns on the other doors suck in due to less plastic being used.

Bigger securement screws make them sit more firmly against the old backing plate, tho I did need to snip off a couple of protrusions to make it sit tightly on the old backing. I like the slim clean face which closely matched the original which is sturdier than the old ones too.

The good: Outlet perfect fit for wall and pipe. Exact duplicate to old outlet. Once mounted, the vacuum worked normally.The Bad: The 2 screws that hold in the pins, springs, and activation wires were wrong size. Once they came out, they would not fit back in. I used the old plate cover activation screws (larger and proper size) to make the solution work.
