This stuff shrinks up to four times. The internal adhesive seals tight. I use it to waterproof my underwater splices in the pond. Once shrunk, the tubing becomes a very hard shell.

This is product lists a 1" diameter. Using the circumference formula 2πR, you get 3.14" as circumference, when divided by half (since this roll comes folded in half) you get 1.5", which matches what I am measuring with a ruler, see pictures. Meaning 1" diameter is accurate.Also, it shrank to 1/4" inner diameter , so 4:1 is accurate, see pictures. I was compelled to test this as I've tried a few other heat shrinks that claimed 4:1 but were 3:1 or 2:1 in some cases. The outer thickness of the tube grows from 1/64" to 1/16", so plenty of durability. While the tubing isn't as flexible afterwards, I feel this will aid in the durability.

This shrink provides strength to the wire. The tradeoff is a bit of stiffness, but it's great for creating a stronger and cleaner connection. The wrap delivered on its 4:1 ratio. Good product!

I purchased the 1 1/4" size. This is very heavy duty and perfect for my project. I'm using this on my Jon boat for 6 gauge duplex battery wire covered by a woven loom. This keeps the ends of the loom from fraying and adheres it to the wire. I did not measure the shrink ratio, but it very well could be 4:1. I highly recommend this product.
