I expected inferior quality, fall-apart-in-your-hands stuff, so I was pleasantly surprised. As you can see, I used them to decorate my son's pirate room. He still has a bunch left over that he can use for a birthday party or a pirate-themed party over the summer when he starts to miss his friends from school.

I have been buying pirate eye patches for Halloween treats for years, and these are by far the nicest patches I have ever purchased.

These are too small for adults or older teens. The elastic strap is so tight that it pulls the patch uncomfortably tight over the eye. The patch itself is indeed soft, but that means it is flimsy and presses against the eye in the middle from the strap.
