I usually buy my sports equipment directly from known retailers. Performance and durability are way more important than saving a few bucks, buying stuff online. So far I am happy with Amazon sourcing some windsurfing/foiling components for me. The convenience is of course one aspect which makes Amazon such an incredible company.

How is this possible? Chinook has forgotten how to make an uphaul line.Now it's too late to return it and I simply can't go sail with this, it will go in the trash.It's too slippery. You need an iron grip to uphaul with this line. Doable while you are fresh, but I don't want to be caught out there with tired or cold hands and this uphaul.

First of all, love the quality. I read the reviews and purchased this because the nearest windsurf shop is 4 hours away. Anyways the quality seems to be great, but I have to say, when comparing it next to my standard uphaul ( using a 6.0) sail this uphaul line is short.The length of this Chinook is 4'-0. My original one is 4'-8"I'll see if this will work, or it will go back.

Too short and too tight to use comfortably, for those who need an uphaul. As an example, my old Chinook uphaul has TWO section of elastic in the center, not one. Beside being a more forgiving pull, it allows the extra knot right in center of the gathered section, which gives grip where it's needed, not at the ends of the elastic section. Even if it stretches over time, there will never be enough give to put a useful middle knot in it....and it is clearly inferior to one of Chinook's very own uphauls that is over 15 years old.....
