Be careful because the handle and spring get very hot and you can burn yourself. Not a very good design. Also when you pour coffee spills everywhere because the spout does not allow for a smooth pour.

Went to use it and the blue coating flaked off on the hinge. After looking inside, the holes where you pour water out were also flaking. Couldn't risk drinking out of it so we threw it away.

The thing with these kettles is that there's a lot of nostalgia built into why people buy these -- they look just like the ones used 10, 20, 30, or more years ago. But the other thing is that these kettle work great. They're not fancy, and if you're using a fire, you need something fairly bare bones anyway. Anyway, I'm looking forward to giving this to one of my super-camper friends for Christmas; I'm sure he'll love it! The rundown ...Quality -- Looks and feels great. Well-made. 5/5Utility -- Since it's a gift, I haven't tried it out fully myself, but the pieces fit together well, and based on previous experience, it should work well too. 5/5Parity -- Great price for a nostalgic and practical gift. 5/5

This kettle is perfect for any camping experience it is all metal and can be placed over a fire. We were able to make hot beverages and it didn’t melt or have discoloration. It is a made very well and seems like it will last a very long time. For camping or grilling out. We loved having this on our camping trip. It kept the beverages hot and it was easy to pour. Great value for the money two thumbs up!
