We had to router out the holes to fit my craft scissors and pinking shears. The holes are set for the size of hair shears

Does not hold standard-size all-purpose Scissors, they only slide in about 1/2 way and there is no way you could use all of the holes, they are not big enough and are way too close together.That and it is very cheaply made, varnish is in blobs.

It's solid wood...I'll give it that! I placed this in my classroom and you need small scissors to use every hole. They are spaced too close together in my opinion. Furthermore, the screws were loose when it arrived. I had to tighten them myself which is no big deal but one shouldn't have to when buying a new product.
