Have used this a few times now. It cuts tiny limbs fine but seems a bit underpower for lightly larger ones. Learned if you go to hard into the wood it shuts down because it draws more power than the batter can provide. I found I have to take it easy and go slow. There is a percentage meter on the saw showing level of battery, when operating the percentage drops big time then when you stop it jumps back up. I use when I go down my trials to trim up some branches, a lot lighter than my normal chainsaw. A bit of a learning curve on using and not pushing it too hard. If one can get a larger battery I think it would help it perform better.

I have been blown away by this little chainsaw! It is small so I wasn’t expecting it to be able to cut down a 4 inch thick tree branch growing from a neighbor’s yard that I have had to duck under whenever I walk down the side of my house ever since I moved into my home about eight months ago. I thought I would give it a try though to see what this chainsaw is capable of. To my surprise, it cut through the tree branch in less than 10 seconds. I was then able to cut the branch into small pieces in less than a minute. So, thanks to this chainsaw no more ducking for me. The chainsaw comes with two replacement chains, goggles, oil, and other accessories. I highly recommend this little chainsaw for anyone needing to cut down branches of moderate thickness. I obviously have not tested this chainsaw on a thicker branch but I imagine that this chainsaw could have gotten through a branch with a diameter greater than 4 inches with ease as well.

I didn't put it to the true test only cut a few straggling palm tree fronds my hand clippers wouldn't do. It worked out but took a while, I will have to gear up with my gloves and boots this weekend but from the test: it worked. The bad:Oil wasn't in the little container, and the reservoir for oil is quite large on chainsaw so it doesn't match up nearly a smidge of what you actually need so I ran it somewhat dry, perhaps will work better with lots of oil. You would need to supply your own.What is included is a tiny -- hair clipper- oil, not nearly enough.The battery release lever is hard to get the battery out and trying not to accidentally turn it on. It does require both buttons to press to activate but leverage is a problem.It has a bit of kickback. Please wear extra safety gear and be really mindful when using it as what direction it is cutting and let the saw do the work pressure but not force.The tightener on the side may have more play than I want I will have to fiddle with the extra parts, put a new chain on than factory (it's included 2 actually) and a few other this and thats. so not bad just user interaction is a skill based comfort. I will get there. The good:It's a hand held chainsaw with two extra blades with a case and some accessories for under 60$ is a solid little deal. Quality instruction booklet easy to read.Great for cutting up the Christmas tree when it's done or clearing brush on the small driveway if bushes get large. Really handy to have around and with the case and all included I'm glad I got it. This will not be used everyday more for emergencies.Does the trick, the guard does a good job but make sure wood you are cutting is sturdy as palm frons move around a bit. I'll get used to it. I do like it. It's a battery powered mini chainsaw. So that's amazing. BUT there's a few issues.First, it's really nice it uses the same battery as some other off-brand power tools I have. So, you can use the same 21V batteries you might have on other tools.The case is rather confusing. I'm not really quite sure where anything actually fits. If I didn't see it when I opened it, I might not guess how it goes in.It came with a container of blade oil for he first use. The container was well sealed, but was less than half full. After pouring it in, you'd never guess you put any in. It was so small compared to how much it wants.The battery took a bit of force to get on all the way. So, when it came time to pull it off, it was even more of a PITA. Had to hold the button and smack it on a counter.The trigger guard is pretty flimsy.The safety glasses and gloves are bonuses ... I guess. They're cheap enough, I'd probably just prefer they dropped the price by $2.This is only on inspection. I'm still hoping it will do it's job and this will all fade away. But I see some of these will be lasting.
