The tape thickness is sufficient, the adhesion is strong, and the waterproof effect is ideal

I had a very hard time getting it started and ended up cutting it in the wrong place to get it to let go. A non sticky leader would be a fantastic change so it is easy to get unrolled a bit easier. We use a lot of this type of tape on our greenhouse, rv, and for going over the nails that are backing out on our shop. I didn't look close enough when ordering to see rather than white it is an aluminum foil covering that is quite sparkly. It is very sticky and pulling the backing off is a bit challenging but I prefer a harder time in getting the backing off in exchange for a really good stick. This seems a bit thicker than most and it goes on great. Only time will tell how it holds up but thus far it seems right in there with other tape we have used that is still working great years later.Sure beats caulking and holds up much better as it gives a much wider coverage. We moved from caulk to tape years ago and are so happy as it makes maintaining an RV roof much easier and longer lasting. We now use the tape as a preventative. My best advice - make sure where you are using this you are okay with aluminum (perfect for a lot of roofs).

I've used this on the metal roof of an outside building on my property with good results. A few of the nails have been working their way out and we drive them back in but really need to replace them with screws. Another thing on the to-do list. But this is a great workaround. We had a storm last week and a few days of pop-up showers. I checked the previous leaking spot from the inside of the building and there was no water seepage or dripping coming through into it. What a relief! The tape is very adhesive and kind of hard to get started or to work with. While I want it to be sticky, I wish there was a way to keep it less sticky until application. I find this much easier to work with than a caulking gun though, and this will be my go-to for any future leaks, roof or otherwise. I recommend this for small jobs.

We had a leak on our swimming pool pipe, and just wanted to give this a shot before getting a new pipe entirely. Unfortunately, while the first impression was great, keeping the water in....it only took a few minutes for the water to start seeping out beneath the tape. Within 30 minutes of running our water to the pool, the tape came off entirely. Meh.

I cut a small piece off and was able to remove the backing to expose the adhesive, but the next two tries was impossible to get a hold of any part of the backing .It seems like it is infused in the adhesive. Very disappointed that I couldn't rely on the description of the tape. If you can't peel it, you can use it.

Item was not waterproof as stated. Once it comes in contact with water it will not stick.

You may as well cover it with a glue after applying to seal it on whatever you are using it for.
