It is remarkably good at getting a surface scan. But don't expect to edit parts for an engine in your 3d program, etc! That being said, it is a consumer scanner, not professional, and for that it works incredibly well for the price point. Especially with over 40 years of computer use to compare with what we had "back in the day" on my Amiga (very basic page scanners), and nothing before those! So I like it. The only thing I am nervous about, is my recent switch to Linux, to get rid of never-ending PC and Mac subscriptions. Fingers crossed....!

I tried to scan multiple items but they all turn out blurry. System cannot pick up sharp edges at all. This is a "high quality" scan of a miniature.

Still learning to use this item, not sure if it's me or the unit but I really like the idea and application. I'll just have to keep learning and using it to get more proficient.

It was tough to decide on which scanner to buy.I finally decided on age ferret pro.Yes there is a big learning curve to understand what is required for a successful scan.After three try's to scan my head i finally got a decent scan to mesh and print ,

I was a bit hesitant about the idea of using a smartphone to operate a 3D scanner, but the Creality CR-Scan Ferret Pro completely changed my mind. The scanning process is incredibly smooth and intuitive, thanks to the cool app. The scanner itself is small and easy to set up.The accuracy of the scans are impressive, even for intricate details. I've used it to scan various objects, from my wife's head to larger household items. The results have been consistently excellent. The post-processing software is also user-friendly, making it easy to clean up and optimize the 3D models.If you're looking for an affordable and reliable 3D scanner, I highly recommend the Creality CR-Scan Ferret Pro. It's a fantastic tool for hobbyists and professionals alike.

Works for what I do. I use this to scan things for a reference to design things around and for scanned objects and it works great for that.

Really great product for the price. It was easy to use, quick setup and a very short learning curve. Many features available on very expensive 3d scanners are available in this scanner.

I design 3d objects, post to thingiverse, and 3D print alot of things. I was hoping to scan objects like the cupholder in my car to make accessories. The scanner really DOES work if you have good lighting and the object is on a turntable. Unfortunately, almost all my use cases require holding the scanner and moving it myself. The proper scan distance (how far the scanner is from the object) is quite to maintain. Additionally the unit is somewhat ungainly and difficult to position in tighter spaces.I repeatedly generated corrupted scans that were unusable. I never got a usable scan for my application and returned the unit.If your use case is only small objects that you can put on a turntable (not included) with the scanner being stationary then you may be happy. For my use case, I found a free iPhone lidar scanning app did a better job.
