Very good quality loppers. These last a very long time in my experience. At my previous work place these have lasted more than ten years and have taken some abuse, so if looked after they will serve you well. Worth the extra dollar!!!

After struggling with inefectual cheap loppers for too long, I sprung for these at nearly 2x the price. They are brilliant. They go through 1/2" branches effortlessly. 3/4" requires a bit of muscle but no struggle and no flexing of the tool itself..Cons: They are large and bit big for my wife who is a very small person but she is very happy with them nonetheless because they are so effective. The blades are high carbon steel which is why they work so well but they will rust if left in the weather.Well it's two seasons past now and these have done champion work. Had occasion to disassemble them for cleaning, the mounting screws for the handles have bushings! This is a quality detail that one might never see.

I was slow in writing this review. They are well made. They do not cut well on dead hard wood. They tend to stain and must be cleaned every use. I oil and clean regularly. I have cut 2 inch limbs with effort. I feel they will last, but I have a large pair of Fiskar loppers that do almost as well. This is a high price for a lopper. That said I would recommend a buy if you clean and take care with your tools.

I have had 2 pairs of these over the last 12 years an just acquired a new pair. At first I thought I was paying too much for these loppers but I put them through hell and could never complain. I wore out, not broke and actually still have my other 2 pair. I use them for cutting roots. I highly recommend these loppers.

I have the same lopper on our farm. It is the best of the best. Yes, a bit more heft and weight than anything you'll find at the local hardware or gardening store, but there's no comparison. It will cleanly cut anything. The limiting factor will be your strength. It is a direct bypass pruner. Large opening and solid, solid, solid. Very sharp and long lasting edge. This is a lifetime purchase.

Heavy Duty is right! These are a great addition to any outdoor tool kit and can cut through just about anything in need of pruning.

I had a Fiskars lopper for many years, and was able to cut down over a thousand saplings without any problem. The design has since changed and I was looking for a replacement. After looking at the options, I decided on the Bahco P19-80, primarily because of the positive reviews. I have been very disappointed. The loppers are very heavy, and the blades smooth so that they slip off the branch or trunk often. often. Also, with the Fiskars loppers I was able to cut saplings and branches that were larger in diameter than I can with the Bahco loppers.

Kaufempfehlung!

I bought these after my old telescopic anvil loppers finally gave up the ghost. Basically, the handles gave more leverage than the blade and anvil could take, so both tended to bend and kink. They then needed to be hammered flat to be of any use. Eventually they seemed to soften to the point that after hammering flat they would kink and bend at the drop of a hat. The Bahco shears are a revelation. The blades are really thick hardened steel and do not flex at all in use. The cutting blade is extremely sharp and has shown no signs of needing sharpening after a lot of really hard use. The blade pivot bolt is large diameter and looks to have excellent long term wear characteristics. They will cut wood up to 50mm thick, although obviously the thicker the wood, the more muscle needed - and since the handles are fixed length you can't get any more mechanical advantage out of them. The cut is very clean since they act just like what they really are: whopping great secateurs. Since there's no parallelogram-type linkage to minimise handle movement it can be tricky getting them in amongst branches when the handles need to be opened wide. And you'll need the handles opened wide to cut thicker branches - they have to be well up between the blades for maximum mechanical advantage. Conversely, anything up to about 15mm or so thick can easily be snipped at the blade tips. Generally cuts are easiest when made at right-angles to the branch. The handles are very strong and seem not to flex at all. I can see these outlasting the old anvil ones by decades and I would recommend them for any use - light gardening, heavy gardening, commercial tree lopping, everything. Not cheap but in view of likely longevity, good value for money.
