The screws included with the shelf aren't long enough so it does not sit flush with the wall. We had to purchase different screws. Our cat seems to enjoy it though.

The wall anchors this came with were super frustrating. But once I threw those out and used another kind it went up really easily. I drilled the middle screw into a stud and the sides went in with twist n’ lock anchors to the drywall. My cats absolutely love it!

The base didn’t look sturdy (it is small) so I didn’t know if it would stay on the wall when my sons’ cat jumped on. But it does seem sturdy when he gets on it. He is an average size adult cat. I painted the wood so it would match my twin sons’ beds, black wood with gray fabric headboards. It is between their beds and looks good. He watched us installing it, as if he knew it was for him. He immediately got on it, and has been on it almost constantly for several days. I plan to update later, whether it is sturdy long-term or not.

The cats love their new bed. We originally ordered two, but one broke when we put the screw in. So we are shipping that one back and getting another one. This one did split a little when the screw was placed, but not enough to damage the structure. The wall anchors are not our favorite, so we used our own and made sure one screw went into a stud. The mounting is stable and the cats can jump up and down with ease. The cats absolutely love the bed. They actually fought to see who got to lay in it first. They will be so happy when the second one comes!

The screws provided are not long enough to activate the anchors due to the width of the wood. Had to get my own.

My kitty loves to be up high and this is perfect. She can look down on the dogs with contempt knowing they are at her mercy. Its her thrown.
