You bad reviewers just need to measure and then purchase. Worked fine, so far so good.

this works fine, but the one they sent me was obviously a returned item that the person who returned it didn't know how to properly assemble. The exterior packaging was taped up because it had been previously opened and the unit was partially incorrectly assembled. I was able to put it together as it was meant to be and it has worked properly since

Cannot find this type of item in any store in east Texas. My toilets were installed it 1970. Newer designs do not easily fit and seldom work as well as the older type. The hardest part of installing DANCO Coast Mark IV Anti-Siphon Ballcock Toilet Tank Repair Kit is draining the water out of the tank. I am a 72-year-old woman and do my own repairs. I have 2 of these installed in my house and intend to purchase another for future repairs.

The tank level tube was actually too tall for my tank but that was my fault for not measuring. So I just pulled the tab out the top and used just the top part including gaskets and voila perfect fit. Everything else fit too, including flapper float and flush handle. Btw to the reviewer who was complaining about the geyser coming out of the top: you don't have the screw in, so there's nothing pushing down on the seal inside leveler; of course you're going to have a geyser ;)

I installed the item and noticed immediately that it was leaking at the top seal. I had a plumber come over and he said that the adjustment screw was installed crooked from the factory so I could not hardly make any adjustments! He backed out the screw ll the way then aligned and re-tightened it, now it can be adjusted and no longer leaks! I am not a plumber and had to pay a lot of money out of pocket just to be told that it was a manufacturing line error!!! Buyers just be aware of this issue so that you don't have to pay a plumber five times more than product costs to have it working properly!

Edit:There's a "geyser" video from somebody else's review that you can look at to see the situation in my tank @6 months after installing. With the tank lid on, this results in water leaking out of the top of the tank and trickling down the side and back.I tried adjusting the screws a the top of the assembly, to no avail. It's either a geyser or it's nothing and the tank won't fill anymore.I'm never buying anything from this company again. I cannot believe how much time and effort I've WASTED just because these companies can't be bothered to put out a decent product. I would pay 2-3 times as much for something that actually works, where I'm not doing this stupid, messy project over and over again.Original review –As with basically everything, parts are not standardized.Take pictures of your old setup, and keep all your old parts nearby until you are done and satisfied. I couldn't use anything aside from the main assembly and flexible tubing because the rest of it was incompatible. The main assembly appeared to be the same height as my old one, but it's actually a bit taller. It barely fits under my tank cover. The two seal mechanisms that connect the main assembly inside the tank to the water line underneath the tank were useless to me – I had to use the ancient ones already there because the tip of my water line flares. The instructions are ridiculously bad. I have no idea why companies insist on screwing their customers in this way. Did they really not have the extra 1/8 cent in their margin to provide decent, simple black and white instructions? I may avoid the Danco brand entirely going forward just for this. They could at least post their own video for this product to YouTube.General note on toilet repairs – I had a disaster with a previous complete guts replacement on a different tank. The shut-off valve at my tank didn't work completely, so I shut off the main water line.It was STILL leaking a little from the toilet water supply line. I think partly b/c I had opened up my sink faucets to 'bleed the line,' but really for NO discernible reason – the water lines were both shut TIGHT.Anyway the kit was short one washer or something, I left the leaky line draining into a container while I ran to the store to get a washer. I came home to a mini waterfall from my second floor bathroom.Do not tempt the Water Damage gods. You may think you have it under control, but – Shut off ALL THE THINGS, and have a big bucket and a plan for when THAT DOESN"T WORK. Don't leave anything unattended.I got off easy. I know people who've paid thousands to mitigate water damage.Anyways, I got this for my second toilet, if that tells you anything about how annoying the Fluidmaster is AFTER install.I initially had problems with the water line seal on this one. I recommend after you (hand-)tighten all that up, dry it all off with a paper towel. Restore the water supply, flush it a couple times, then run a new dry paper towel over the seal to check for leaks. It's easier to tell than using your fingers.Anyway, now there's total silence when I walk into the bathroom. No more wondering how much excess water is literally going down the toilet.
