Its actually staying in place. The stock epiphone jack I had just wasn't cutting it any more and this has been doing its job as it should. So glad I upgraded to this jack.

All I use on all my guitars, switchcraft is definitely the best, long lasting, easy to install, and an overall great alternative for a output jack, new and working, or old and scratchy.

I have not install it, but I am sure that this willl sound cleaner and less noise that the current installed...I have already replace the switcher and the humbuker and ist great.....

Wow, this is a sturdy jack. I had to increase the width of the hole in the body to get it in fully, but it was most definitely worth it. I'm tempted to replace the jacks of any guitars I get in the future with this one.

It doesn't get any better than Switchcraft. The output jack does exactly what it's supposed to do - it holds the cable plug - taaah daaah!This is more in reply to the previous poster who received his purchase without all the hardware. For me, this item arrived in a "for display" bubble pack complete with spacer, lock washer and nut.I have been shopping on-line with Amazon since 1996. I too have received incomplete items, defective items and items that just stopped working after a few weeks. I have never had a claim not settled in my favor. The most I ever had to pay was return shipping - no big deal. If you act within the Return time frame Amazon will issue you a return authorization which costs you nothing, then credit your account for the full amount - and send you an EMail apologizing for your inconvience!My items were sent by Musicans Friend another excellent on-line retailer. If you have a complaint - make it known. They can't fix it if you keep it a secret. It's a Customer Service Department, not a Clairvoyant Department.Rock on!

The main reason I ordered this is I lost the nut from my jack. Since the old jack was getting somewhat unreliable anyways I figured I would get this one as DiMarzio has a great reputation for quality stuff. There was no nut in the package. The picture clearly shows one on the jack. Had I known this, I would have gone to a local music store and bought one there. So much for the convenience of the internet. Without a nut, this is a nice looking quality jack that does me no good whatsoever. Luckily when I ordered my ToneShaper Stratocaster SSS-1, it came with a new jack including the nut.If you don't want to include an integral piece of a part, fine, state so, but don't mislead people by showing it as complete when it is not.
