Not impressed with this. It's just a plug in. No way to control speed, or even turn it on or off. No remote.. The only way to turn it on or off is to plug it in or unplug it. (Which is difficult if it's plugged into a ceiling outlet. The ugly black cord is way too short. 3 feet. So, unless you have a outlet in the ceiling next to your Disco ball you'll need to run an extension cord. I definitely would not buy this again.

This unit worked for a few days and then just stopped working. The internals of the unit are exposed as well. I highly suggest not buying this unit.

Works well as intended. My only reservation item is that the top isn't enclosed in housing, so unless mounted to a ceiling, the wiring and motor housing are exposed in the top. Just something to be aware of if you are intending an installation that isn't permanent.

I have a mobile DJ rig and in addition to the sound system, I am outfitting it with a very large array of lighting effects. Now what could be more appropriate than a mirror ball?This motor is the missing piece of the system. It is compact, easy to mount, quiet in operation, and can easily support the mirror ball that I have chosen. I will most likely mount it to a flat plate on the overhead lighting truss. I have a pair of LED white spotlights on the ends of the truss to provide the required illumination.Very happy with the construction of this device and the silent operation.
