This is not what you would expect from a dog whistle, it just sounds like a normal whistle to the human ear. Would definitely not recommend

I took my dog for a walk and she saw something and she started barking. I blew the whistle and she stopped. I like that it is small and fits on my keychain.

This dog whistle works! Our dog will bark at every noise and will howl when she is nervous or anxious. This whistle helps us get her attention and stop the barking or howling and then assure her that there is nothing to worry about. When she is walking and starts barking at another dog the whistle gets her attention so that we can calm her and that calms the other dog in turn. We are very happy to have this tool. My neighbor has a new dog that she rescued and I used the whistle every time the doggie chewed on my clothes and fingers. He would stop biting and sit. She asked where she could get one of these whistles. It is useful for us. It gets her attention but it doesn’t seem to cause her any discomfort. Remember to adjust the screw to find the right whistle sound for your pet.

You can't really adjust it to be ultrasonic/silent to humans. That's what I wanted it for.My dogs respond to it, but I wanted a silent whistle that wouldn't disturb the neighbors.

I don't know if this will stop the neighbor's dog from barking, but it sure works great at getting a dog's attention without yelling at the top of your lungs. I've found that I have a hard time keeping track of where my whistle is at any given time. So, a two pack doubles the chances that I'll have a whistle with me when I need it. These don't come with a chain or anything, but the split ring on the end makes it easy to attach to a leash or keyring.

These unscrew themselves constantly and dont work - save yourself a minor annoyance and buy the fixed ones instead

I ordered the whistle to help stop with dog barking. After all, that’s what item promised to do. Help stop barking.Whistle was NOT what item told to be. It was not silent but worked like a child’s toy whistle and sure didn’t help with barking. When blown, the dog barked even more . Not at all helpful or useful since it didn’t help. If you want a toy whistle for a child-definitely order this one!!Other items ordered were great but not this whistle.
