Quality is good, packaging is good. Mine was for 01 Civic front passenger. It was already set in position with two holes in my door to attach the two bolts that hold the window in place. Nicely done! Only thing now is, it only goes down as far as back window for child safety. I'll figure out how to correct this. But at least it goes down 80% which is better than 0%!.

To early to say about durability, here in FL we start with a great fall weather to keep the window roll down so will see, I am confident with the product it looks good. It require a minimum tools to install it, I will recommend search videos online and you will be successful. Please do not do this alone, you will need help to hold the window meanwhile you remove the old system.

If you're handy you can save a bundle by replacing your window regulator yourself. Before replacing the regulator make sure there isn't a power issue to the door such as a faulty window switch, blown fuse or damaged wiring in the flex boot to the door (I found broken power supply wires from years of bending on a back door of the same vehicle & the original regulator was fine). Usually the regulators fail with a broken/unraveled cable and the motors are often good (so if you hear the motor move it is probably getting power). This Dorman brand window regulator (Made in Taiwan) is slightly different than the original but fit well in the door of a 2002 front door (all bolts lined up and fit). You can use the Amazon vehicle fit check but suggest you also go to the Dorman website to verify the correct part number. The regulator comes sealed in a plastic bag (you have to cut to open) to help verify it is new and not previously installed. There are very basic generic instructions but I really recommend you search U-tube for a regulator installation specific to your vehicle (each door has some tricks to get them apart). Some of the connectors are tricky and you need small screwdrivers/picks to finesse them apart (In my case the hardest one was releasing the holding clip for the regulator connector in which you need to insert a small screwdriver from the bottom). You can use a large suction cup to hold the window up in the closed position so it is out of the way to pull the regulator out. Also while the window is raised, recommend cleaning the window track and spraying in some dry teflon lube to smooth out the sliding action (spray the upper side of the track when the window is down after installation). I only needed a #2 phillips, 10mm socket drive and small & medium flat screwdriver, LED work light and some nylon pry tools (other vehicles could be different). The factory seal for the vapor barrier had hardened (semi-solid gumbo) and would not release without damage, so I carefully cut the seal (not the plastic) from the outer edge by extending the blade of a box cutter by 2-3 inches and gently working in a sawing action while pulling until enough access was gained, the seal could simply be pressed back together during re-assembly. Regulator pulls out/in from the large opening in the door cavity (might have to collapse slightly). The regulator works smooth and quiet albeit slightly slower than the original, maybe 85% as fast but no big deal. I expect it to last the remaining life of the vehicle. Hope this helps and good luck with your repair!

Easy to install. It works fine in my car even though it looks a little different. Only thing I didn't like was I had to loosen one of the tabs that attach the cable to the door so that I can move it to the mounting hole. It would have been much better if the tab was supplied without being installed on the cable.

Exact OEM fit. Do yourself a favor & watch a tutorial on YouTube. 1A auto always has DYI videos that show you step by step how to replace. It took me about 11/2 hour total but I cleaned everything up nicely and took my time. Well worth the money and easily save me $250 for repairs! I was worried it would be too complicated but it was very straight forward.

This fit perfect for my 2001 Honda Civic lx sedan. Very easy to install and I have no experience in auto mechanics! Every mechanic I visited wanted $200 - $300 to fix, they said how difficult it was, total lie. Maybe for other cars it’s tough but for a Honda Civic it was easy.

Summary:It is a complete assembly. It does what it is supposed to do, including auto down. Instructions that come with it are not intuitive and there are no diagrams. If doing it yourself, watch a youtube instructional video (if you don't know what you are doing) and evaluate if you have the tools, if you can do it yourself, and if you want to do it yourself. My Story:On my way to the grocery store, my driver side window door cable popped while I was trying to cool down my car quickly before putting on the AC. I was concerned because my window slid down and I had to go to work the next day. After getting home, a kind stranger saw me with the door panel out, helped me lift the window (I stuffed a towel in there to hold it), and looked up the part for me, a part which was not available in car part stores. This part was much less than I saw in other places. The same part would have cost me at least $20 more plus $60 - $70 for installation even though I had already taken off the door panel. When I mentioned the price of the part to the mechanic I was going to go to, he doubted it had all of the components. He thought it was only the motor without the guide or that it was the guide without the motor, but it was the exact replacement I needed. Furthermore, he also said it was something I wouldn't be able to do alone. Although getting a mechanic to do it is a good idea and I would have used his shop had I no other resource, I am used to mechanics telling me what is involved that makes it hard. Being told I couldn't do it on my own without a reason plus the cost made me want to give it a shot.Well, I enlisted my brother in law, one with tools, and we got it done after dissecting a youtube video. It worked perfectly afterwards. I wouldn't have cared less whether or not it automatically went down with a small tap, but it did. The only problem I had were the instructions, hence the youtube videos. While the instructions state you should take the trim off your windows, I didn't have to. If you are not used to cars, keep track of your parts and take pictures as you go. This will help you remember what direction things belong, and which screws belong where should you accidentally mix things.
