Just be sure that you realize this only comes with the regulator and not the motor. In most cases the only thing that needs to be replaced is the regulator, so this is what you need. If that's the case you just need to remove the motor from you broken regulator and put it on the new regulator and your good to go. You can test if your current motor is good by pressing the window down button on your broken window. If you can hear the motor working and its trying to roll the window down but just making a grinding broken cable noise than in most cases you window motor is fine and this regulator is all you need. But if its just dead and does nothing you might want to do a little more trouble shooting before you buy to figure out if its the motor or the master switch first.

The part installs with an OEM perfect fit.Zero problems other than a tedious installation. Reviewed the install procedure on youtube for my car.Initially my window was up 1/2 inch in the back corner in the fully closed position but this minor issue disappeared after a loose cable connector was repaired.

might as well do the power doorlock actuator and the power window motor and the light bulb in the door for when its opened. Window motor was still good but rusty goop around the gears. I wouldn't introduce that into a new regulator. If you have an old 06 07 08 it's just a matter of time before that power door module goes from carbon buildup from sparks. Replace it now, keep the old one (its repairable for no cost, just needs disassembly and cleaning). You dont want to undo all this work for 35 bucks. Make sure you're careful with the brittle plastic behind the door handle and everything is lined up. If you're a shady tree guy, just follow the YouTube videos. Don't forget the rusty Philips head screw after you slide off the outside door handel, or the side 8mm? bolt on the side you need to pop the plastic cover to access. Take your time watch the video. My 06 has been in the family since it was bought as a fully loaded new test model for dirt cheap. I've probably done every repair on it execpt the transmission rebuild by a friend. It will rust out before it dies. One last thing, these cars have a problem with the upper valve gaskets leaking oil on the alternator. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and spray your alternator with a full can of crc lectra electronics cleaner from top to bottom with an oil pan underneath as needed. I'm on the original alternator 14.4v.Edit: passanger side windown just slid down. I'm just going to jb weld it. Use better wire that doesn't rust.

Hi, ya'll! I've been doing vehicle repairs since, well, before I was old enough to drive. I worked several years as a service writer for a few independent shops, so I've seen a lot/done a lot. This was a more difficult install than anticipated. Not because of the product fit, finish and performance more than met my expectations. Just be aware, if you are going to install this your self you need to have a drill (to remove speaker fitting which is riveted), a lot of patience and be sure to track each step of the removal so you remember to put it back in reverse order. Otherwise you will end up like me and have to backtrack to get the wiring harness between the part and door secured properly so the window does not catch it when rolled down. I am pleased with the part, how it fit, that everything it needed it had and love the fact that the driver's side window now performs like new - it is even faster now going up/down that the passenger side. Oh, and be aware - you will need BIG rivets or 4 small bolts (1/4 inch bolt about 1/2 to 3/4 long) with nuts, to reattached the speaker. Not a big issue but I would have liked to have known that in advance. Luckily, I had just the right bolt/nuts/washers to get it done. Best of luck!

This regulator works great and saved me a good amount of money doing it myself, but it is not an easy item to install if you have never done one before and the instructions are no help. My first attempt at installing this did not work (The window only went down about 4" and stopped). After figuring out was wrong I had to remove it and install it a second time. It was much easier to install the second time once I knew what needed to be done. There is a plastic part with three fingers that needs to be aligned perfectly so that the fingers slide into slots otherwise they will stop the window from going down. The best way I figured to do this was to completely remove the window glass and tape a flashlight looking down into the door so that I could help align the fingers from the window slot above. I also had to remove the plastic part from the original regulator and use it instead because there was a slight difference and because I bent it slightly trying to install it the first time. There are other things you need to be aware of like removing your speaker (pop riveted) from the original regulator and installing with rivets on the new one and that there is a wire harness and door handle cables that need to be removed. One of the connectors on the wire harness (The one going to the door lock) was very difficult to reach to release. The entire process took about three hours, but I know if I had to do it again I could do it in half that time. Overall it was a great value and worth that savings.

This is the second one I got since I replaced the other side a couple of years ago and I'm satisfied with the ease of installation and instructions were minimal but sufficient. The only things could be better are the rubber dust covers to access the bolts for the window glass are useable but not ideal and the wiring clip holes aren't oval shaped so you need to remove the original clips and use the zip-ties provided. Other than that basically you get what you pay for.
