The tines of the brushes come out if you hit too hard. These are not pro brushes, but for the price, with everything else, not a bad back up pair, or practice pair, or starter pair. The bamboo sticks are cool with lots of options for different sounds or light playing. Not bad on the cymbals either. A little better than Blasticks, I'd say. The sticks are VERY light. They are not "5A"s like regular 5As from Vic Firth or Pro Mark. Same dimensions but the weight is weird to play with if you're used to heavier, or even regular weighted sticks. Cool for some things, even jazz and percussion stuff but not the same bounce or weight distribution so you have to work harder - oddly enough - to get the response you might be used to. Overall, a good box set, but get pro brushes (Pro Mark, etc) if you're playing actual gigs or hitting remotely hard.

JUst starting drums and need the accessories or your kid starting drums? This is a great starter set and a great value for the price. Don't spend a ton till you know you are sticking in the industry.

They’re decent sticks and brushes for the price, but I doubt they will hold up. The sleeve for the brushes already slides down as you play.

The cajone I purchased from Sweetwater has a deep bass voice in the demo videos, criticized in reviews fdor not having a strong snare sound. Hence, I purchased this set of sticks. As I researched and watched various demo videos and I learned that some have guitar strings, adjustable for a snare sound and others have fixed springs for a snare sound. The drum sticks in this package provide a variety of sounds beyond what one may get from using one's own hand on a cajone. My favoriet are the wired, V shaped brushes that pull in and out from the rubber covered handle. They have circular hooks for hanging. I would like a rubber ball or mallet, but I can use the side of the rubber covered handle to get other sounds. You may search and see demos of various bruses on different sites to determine what might work for you.

Got this set to go with a kid’s drum set (so I could get my pots and pans back). The grandkids love using them to play the drums and cymbals. Great purchase.

I bought these drumsticks in an emergency because I had a jazz concert just a few days after and I didn't have the brushes or Latin sticks. I was nervous about the quality of these since they were so cheap, but they had fast shipping so I didn't care. Turns out, the sticks felt much better than the ones I've been using in rehearsal. The Latin sticks also sound and feel great. My only complaint is with the brushes. The wires are very flimsy and get bent out of shape very easily. Other than that though, they still work well.

I bought this for my 12 yo who has been taking drum lessons for the past year. He got a kick out of the various options for creating new sounds on his drum set. Good price for the variety. Well made, shipped fast.
