I purchased these drumsticks in the smaller size purposely for my dad who is 85 years old used to play the drums when he was a kid and is always tapping along to the tune of the music. I bought him a small practice, drum pad and the ceiling enable him to sit and occupy time banging away on the drums and hopefully keeping his brain stimulated. This is a great set of sticks!

I use 3a, 5a and 7a, depending on what I'm playing. I bought these to use for practice, since they're so inexpensive, and they perform really well. I've decided that having several of these in a stick bag, for the price of one pair of Silhouettes, is great...even for gigs. I'm on an unconscious mission to dethrone "name brands" when there's a perfect less expensive alternative, evidently...
