  • E-CAP321 Pvc Vent Cap: The E-Cap is a hemispherical plastic cover that can be easily installed over the open end of a high-efficiency gas furnace flue pipe. Exterminators everywhere are installing E-Caps to protect vent and flue pipes from debris and small animals such as birds, squirrels, rodents, tree frogs, and even snakes!
  • High Quality GELOY Resin: The constant exposure to different weather conditions, UV light, heat, and chemicals from furnace gases requires a material with high resilience. To ensure that our innovative heater exhaust vent cover offers the highest level of weather resistance and durability, we chose GELOY CR7520 acrylic-styrene-acrylonitrile (ASA) resin. This material gives the E-Cap high resistance to oxidative degradation and an attractive glossy appearance.
  • E-Cap Benefits: Our vent duct flue cap is proven to keep flying debris and small animals from creeping down exterior vents while also improving air flow up and down each protected exhaust vent or PVC flue pipe. It also eliminates excessive moisture that can rust or ruin high-efficiency gas furnaces, tank-less hot water tanks, plumbing, and other PVC-vented installations.
  • Fit-All PVC Vent Cap: Featuring a faster and easier installation than P-trap vents, this E-cap precisely and quickly fits 1.5", 2", and 3" PVC pipe with standard PVC glue. It's perfect for either vertical or horizontal flue pipe installations and can be used on all PVC-vented high-efficiency applications such as HVAC exhausts and intakes. It also works for plumbing, radon gas vents, and high-efficiency tankless water heaters.
  • Vent Pipe Cover Offers: The Supco E-CAP321 features superior design, function, and cost-effectiveness in comparison to other conventional outside vent covers. It's resistant to heat, cold, precipitation, and UV radiation. It reliably protects your furnace motor and interior from damage due to moisture and debris, never freezing up from condensation, and promotes unrestricted air flow of both the intake and vent flue.

These fit just fine. The wind keeps blowing it off because I don't have it glued down so I need to do that.

I bought this to cover a 2" PVC pipe going up from my utility room to the roof. The main purpose was to prevent rain from falling through the pipe and into the house. After seeing how easy it was to install, I decided to purchase more to cover every vent coming out of my roof in order to prevent debris and other things from going inside. Great idea, very effective, and great product overall.

If you're used to working with Schedule 40 PVC, this piece is much, much more delicate than typical pieces of that type. It is so by design to maximize the airflow. It certainly withstood the elements including extremely strong winds after installation - so I'm not taking off any stars. Just be aware that you'd want this to be the final piece installed if possible or otherwise be careful not to apply the amount of force to it you'd normally apply making Sch 40 connections.

Seems nicely constructed but I am not sure how it will hold up against heavy wind ?

I had a motor destroyed by rain coming down the pipe. This fixed the problem. I suggest using a little amount of pliable glue or maybe bath tub sealer. Just a little to make sure it holds on in the wind, but can be easily removed if need be.
