My 1 year old Granddaughter loved getting this for her birthday. She is able to hold and roll this ball easily. I didn't worry when she put her mouth on it. I would buy this again.

My 9 month old grandchild enjoys the bumpy texture and softness of the ball. There was no smells or odors when we unpacked it and inflated the ball. It was a great value because it came with a nice hand pump. It made a great gift for her first Christmas.

We got this for our daughter's 2nd birthday. She opened it and this ball was her favorite thing in the bag of goodies! She immediately was interested in it and wanted to play with it instead of anything else.We picked this ball with the "spikey" bits because is is very similar to one she has and plays with at occupational therapy (she was a late walker - being third I guess will do that). I'm always looking for toys she plays with there to have in the house.Great toddler gift! Would recommend! Get one!

This is great size ball. Versatile for our 3 year old grandson and our 1 year old grandson. They love playing with it. It is easy to grip for the littlest and easy to throw for the bigger fellow. Good value for the money. It came inflated.

Bought for my 3 year old as a sensory toy for Christmas. She loves it, its quite bouncy but watch out as the nuby bits hurt if it gets you on bare skin!

I had seen my son play with this type of ball at daycare, so I decided to buy one for home. I didn't know what phthalates were before reading the descriptions and reviews for this and other Edushape sensory balls. There is a long list of chemicals in the phthalate family and they are used in the production of some plastics. Only a few other these (I think 6) are banned in the production of children's toys due to potential health hazards. The description of the Senso-Dot Ball indicates that this ball is phthalate-free, however, the descriptions of other Edushape sensory balls had conflicting descriptions...sometimes using "phthalate compliant", and other times using "phthalate-free." These two terms mean different things since I believe "compliant" only indicates that the product does not contain the few phthalates that have been banned in children's toys. When I received the ball, the packaging had no indication at all regarding phthalates; therefore, I questioned whether it was indeed phthalate-free. (My thought was that if it was phthalate-free, Edushape would want to advertise that fact.)I contacted Edushape customer service, and here was their response:"The Senso-dot Balls are a unique Phthalate/latex free PVC, with non detectable levels of BPA. Rest assure that all of our products are safe, non-toxic and all of our products are completely compliant with every government standard."I then asked whether their other sensory balls were also Phthalate/latex free PVC? To which they responded:"Yes, all of our sensory balls are Phthalate/latex free as well."
