I ordered these and i inspected them, they are cheaply made, the screw on backs will not tighten against the mounting bracket, the threads are plastic, i am not going to drill a hole in my firewall to install this set. Other people have put mixed reviews on here about these. I will be going all electric. There were numerous complaints about oil guage leaking. Voltmeter not working, water guage being inacurate. No thanks

Very nice gauge set. I installed these gauges in my 1980 camaro in about 4 hours. The hardest part of the install is creating the 20mm hole required for the supplied grommet to fit into. The oil and water lines feed through this grommet. If you're like me and don't have a large 20mm drill bit, here is what I did to achieve the hole.1.) grab your largest drill bit and drill a hole through the firewall of the vehicle in some spot close to where the gauges will sit. I placed mine above the center console, and drilled my hole beside my gas pedal.2.) grab a deep well socket set that has socket sizes ranging from the size of the hole you drilled all the way up to 20mm.3.) get the socket that is just barely bigger than the hole you drilled (whatever size that may be) and put it on an appropriate sized extensionAfter that, grab a hammer and start hitting the socket through the hole; expanding it. Repeat for all sockets until you're at 20mm.That's what worked for me anyways.Besides that, the kit some will all the adapters you will need to install onto a small block chevy with no guess work involved. You will need to solder or crimp on the connectors for the voltmeter and backlights. Splice the power wires into keyed ignition power and the ground into a suitable grounding point.I would buy these gauges again.

I bought these and got them installed in an afternoon. Word of advice, buy some 1/8" copper tubing. The nylon is useless because, like most plastic that touches really hot engine parts, it melts. Once I got the gauges installed, the oil pressure needle sticks. So I email Equss support who take several days to respond and tell me perhaps I have air in my line... seriously?!?! I sent them a video of the needle while the car is running and what happens when I turn it off (needle didn't move). They tell me they are going to ship a new one out, 2 days later they tell me it shipped. When asked for the UPS tracking, they say they have none. It has now been 16 days since I was told they shipped it. I contacted Equus again for an update and they tell me to wait another week. After a week went by, I still had not received the product and informed the Equus customer service rep. I received a call from him telling me it would be shipped out 2-day air and they would provide tracking for this package. A few minutes later I received tracking on a package they sent out 2 weeks after they were supposed to send the package. I should have bought the Autometer gauges instead and do not recommend this company.

These gauges look good but my expiereance with two set (one set from local auto parts store) isn't to great. First set amp gauge went out in five minutes time then water temp gauge went out next day. Bought another set hopeing for a fluke but temp gauge showing signes of failure. Installed in a 69 bronco so basic wiring etc. over all nice looking though

I installed this in my 1986 GMC K1500. All the adapters and fittings you need are included and relatively simple to install. With the addition of a couple of fittings from the local auto parts store, I was able to maintain the function of my factory gauges. Mechanical gauges are the only way to go for accurate oil pressure and coolant temperature and these gauges do not disappoint. You may have to buy your own grommets like I did for the firewall perforations. I am very pleased with this product.

The gauges installed easily and have worked flawlessly since installation, the look very nice also. This is my second set of Equus gauges, both have worked perfectly fine.

Very nice set of gauges. I like the screw on rings on the back as opposed to the u brackets that most gauges use. Also like the color of the face plates. More an antique white where most are a bright white. These are a much better match for my dash. From what I can tell, they are accurate and very stable.
