I was under the impression I was buying an 8wt, 2 piece fly rod. Upon receiving the item, this was not the case. However, it is still a good 4/5wt rod, and is built with quality. Would recommend as a rod for smaller salmon/trout.

Great, classic Fenwick fly rod. Ideal for salmon and trout. Fenwick is the only brand of rod I use in a fly rod and spinning rod.

Great fly rod. Very nice action. Casts well. I bought the rod for my son as a gift and he landed some nice Alaska Sockeye Salmon with it. Fenwick always delivers!

if i had to do it again i would buy a cabelas 3 forks. this is a moderate fast, but it leans a lot closer to moderate than fast, and i would consider this a moderate if i was asked "moderate, or moderate fast?"

Have always wanted a Fenwick fly rod, and I am not disappointed at all. Loads and casts beautifully. Haven't caught anything with it yet though.

When I first started fly fishing years ago, Fenwick was a reputable brand. Unfortunately, this rod broke on my first outing. Hooked about a 24" catfish and, as we were netting it, the rod snapped. Amazon refunded my price and I purchased a TFO rod and reel.

This is a moderate fast rod. Casting for me was unresponsive with a standard weight line. Replaced fly line with a GPX overweighted line. Now casts great. Can feel the rod load and it casts nice and far.

It doesn't get any better than a Fenwick Eagle. Terrific fly rod.
