It replaced a slightly wider unit but it being a bit narrower gives it more suction power. It is also not as tall so it fits in shorter spaces like under an open door.

I love the simplicity, it works well after my husband used tape to make it fit my vacuum it says it fits all, but it doesn't but if you think hard and use either electrical tape or duct tape it can be attached and it does pick up stuff on your floor because of the soft brush! I give it a 90%

It cleans well because the bristles are staggered in the front to allow dirt to be sucked in instead of pushed in front of the bristles. It stays connected to the wands tight and it can swiveled for going underneath low furniture.

I have used this type of vacuum headpiece attachment on our canister vacuums for ten-plus years. I never use the headpieces that come with the canister vacuums. I find they are hard to maneuver and don't do well with sand so I always toss those out and purchase this headpiece to use. The horsehair bristles are perfect for any type of flooring and I wouldn't use anything else.

The floor brush on my ancient (42-year-old) Panasonic MC-771 finally broke. Otherwise, this canister vacuum cleaner still works well and is highly useful. I'd like to use it for another 42 years!The original Panasonic floor brush is no longer available; no surprise there. So I had to pick a generic brush and hope for the best. A swiveling elbow was a must for vacuuming hard-to-reach places such as under beds.This floor brush, which has a swiveling elbow, looked promising. But I was concerned that this brush would not stay attached during use because it lacked a hole for the spring-loaded button on my Panasonic's metal wand (see the photo that accompanies this review). It turns out this missing hole was not a problem at all. I'm pleased to report that this generic floor brush fits very snugly on my Panasonic's 1.25-inch metal wand (see photo). The snug frictional fit is plenty strong enough to keep the brush attached during normal use.This brush was designed for vacuuming hard floors and works well for that. The shorter bristles along the front edge are an excellent design refinement, allowing floor debris to enter underneath the brush and into the vacuum suction area while you push the brush forward.Although this brush was not designed for carpets (we have a Eureka upright for carpets), I was pleased to discover that this brush works tolerably well for spot-vacuuming carpets as well.I'll update this review if I note any durability problems, such as bristles falling out. Meanwhile, all's well: five stars!

Suction is very low but works okay for light cleaning like picking up dust, etc. Wouldn't use it on heavy dirt. Works pretty good to clean walls. Would be a far better design if it were an inch or two shorter to increase suction.Had to turn it over often and use the vacuum hose to clean the bristles of all the stuff they picked up but that's expected.Does drop a bit of bristle lint at first so run it back and forth over something with texture (like indoor brickwork or raised pattern linoleum) while the vacuum is running to loosen that all up and suck it up out of the way.All in all, I'm glad I got it.

The plastic is good, hight quality but the bristles are SO soft. My og part is cracked so i needed the replacement so...Yeah i gotta be not so heavy handed when i vacuum now -.- does the job just annoying how soft the brush part is.

Great floor brush...did not fit my Sharks ( was hoping for ) but ended up coming in super handy for our everyday vacuums that originally came with a crappy floor head...

Better brush then what comes standard with the central vacuum until. Def would recommend to anyone looking for a replacement.
