These earring jackets are well made with smooth edges. I like them best with my pearl studs which are 6mm in size. With the pearl in place, the central petals of the jacket are mostly covered, so it's the heart-shaped outer petals that you really notice. I wasn't sure if I would like the open design of these petals through which you can see your ear, but I do like them!Putting them on is different but not hard. The jacket centers itself as you push the post into your ear piercing. Note: with the jackets in place, there will be a little less post length on the back side of your ear.Each jacket comes in it's own little zip-lock bag so they don't get damaged from rubbing together in shipping.

Tricky to use the first time but worth the effort of keeping stud straight in jacket to find ear hole. They make my studs look larger and brighter. Easy way to dress up any simple studs.
