These flute pads are cheap but do a good job given the price. They are felt but covered with a thin plastic film or "skin". When you put them in, they will likely wrinkle so you may need to smooth out the wrinkles before sealing the pad. I used a flute pad iron tool to do this but you could probably get away with just heating up a spoon, plus a bit of water.I didn't take measurements but this set comes with:3 Small Pads2 Medium-Small Pads8 Medium Pads3 Large PadsIt's obvious where the 3 Small pads go. The 3 Large pads go in the foot piece. Now comes the tricky part. What size pads you need for the rest depends on your flute brand. Mine is an E.L. DeFord Elkhart. It needs 10 of the Medium Pads and none of the Medium-Small Pads. So to complete my pad replacement, I had to buy two sets of these replacement pads. That's why I rate this 4 stars instead of 5. This is such a cheap product, I am sure they could easily include a few extra pads at little cost. And I'd happily pay an extra buck to two to make sure I got what I needed, instead of having to buy two entire sets. Just kind of annoying. As a side note, the photoshopped pictures trying to sell this thing on Amazon are hilariously bad. Whoever made it clearly didn't know what flute pads are or what they are used for. The pictures show them photoshopped in to be between the flutist's fingers and the keys. I guess they thought that flute pads are supposed to make the key feel softer to the touch? More ergonomic or something? Makes a weird sort of sense if you don't know anything about musical instruments, I guess. But those pictures are just goofy.
