2. The latch assembly will be exposed, unscrewing those 2 screws.
3. Replace the latch, Reverse the steps
(Re-use the old screw from original or self-tapping screw for a trouble-free installation and save times)

-Found this product to replace the latch on the center console cover of our 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Product arrived on time. The color is gray instead of black but that is not an issue. It still matches the remainder of the truck interior, just not the center console.-Installation was easy, taking my time it was only about 5 minutes. If you have questions about the installation process, just read the directions listed with the product description. Took out 5 screws that held in the top liner of the arm rest cover. Then removed the two screws from the part being replaced. Put the new part in place with the original screws, even though it comes with new screws & even a screw driver. Then replaced the liner with the 5 original screws. Tested the latch several times & it works great.-I did find it easier to use a longer screw driver to attach the new latch, but that was no big deal. This definitely fits a 2015 Toyota Tacoma.

Honestly, I thought it was going to be more difficult than this. Everything was very simple and straight forward and took me only but 5 to 10 minutes to go out and change the broken button on my daughters Toyota Tacoma. This honestly is perfect, cost and ease of install...I totally recommend to anyone.

This was a really nice part, and it came with a small phillips screwdriver that is nicer than most of the screwdrivers in my tool box. The shank comes out of the handle and can be used in a power screwdriver, and hit has a straight blade on the other end from the phillips head. It also came with a couple extra screws that I didn't need, since I just used the old ones. It didn't come with an extra spring, so hopefully you didn't lose the old one. (Take apart a ball point pen if you did.) The only minor imperfection was the color didn't match the original plastic very closely, which probably would have surprised me if it did. It is hard to get a close match on plastic colors like that, but it wasn't terribly off. Functionally, the fit and operation are perfect. Overall, I am very satisfied.
