- #67 in Camera & Camcorder Viewfinders
The dome-shaped eyecup effectively shields light, making it easier to see the viewfinder. The soft material also improves the fit for users shooting with the naked eye or with glasses.

This was a replacement for the original eyecup that came with my Fuji XT-2. Once I figured out how to remove the original, it was easy to install.

Perfect replacement to the eye “cup” that comes on the FujiFilm X-T1.Easier in the eyes in general and especially in the sun.

I bought the X-T1 eyecup to replace the one supplied with my X-T3, that started working loose from the frame which secures it to the EVF housing, and eventually was lost. It appears that this has been a design problem. From what I can deduce the new eye cup is a redesign and far superior to its predecessor, in terms of security and comfort in use.I wear spectacles, and this eye cup is not adequate for reducing glare, under those viewing conditions, so not solving this issue, but it is certainly deeper than the original which is actually a positive for spectacle wearers. I may yet buy an eye cup with an extended side cup, like those used by cinematographers.

I had seen some comments about this and the X-T3 on one of the Fuji forums. I was not quite sure because the item is listed as for "X-T1", but I just received it today, and I was able to remove the original eyecup and this one snaps in and works fine. So in case anyone is wondering: This does fit the X-T3.

Great add-on accessory for shooting in bright light. Purchased this in the same sitting as my X-T1 and had planned to do for some time prior while frustratingly being unable to get one for my X-E1. Shooting with the X-E1 was a miserable experience (in a bunch of ways) including in bright light. With this, you get a big cup around your eye that really helps to effectively block peripheral light coming in from the sides. I shoot quite a bit in bright sunlight (e.g. out on the river, spring skiing/climbing). This accessory is well worth the $12-15 you pay for it. Old one pops off and new one pops on in less time than it took me to write this sentence.

I think this is a great addition to my Fuji X-T2 kit, as it was with my X-t1.The extended eyecup is significantly deeper than even the X-T2 stock eyecup, (way deeper than the paltry X-T1 eyecup) and seals out unwanted stray light far better than either camera's stock eyecup. I installed the extended version and see a huge difference with every use in bright light.I will add that if you do mostly vertical shots, the extended eyecup may disappoint some users because then it fits almost perpendicular to the natural contour of our face. Still, it lives on my X-T2 and has not been a problem in either aspect position for me. I'll keep the original in my kit as a spare. My only reason for not giving this a 5-star is that it could possibly be designed with a more pliable top edge for better vertical use by right-eyed shooters.(photos comparing original X-T2 stock eyecup to the Fuji Extended eyecup. Other clone brands may be identical, but as the attachment mechanism and rubber quality are so important, why skimp here?)

I noticed many folks commenting about the included eyecup that came with the Fujifilm X-T1 camera. Having recently purchased the camera, I did notice my LCD screen was getting a lot of smudges from my face. Okay, mostly from my nose. I was ordering an extra battery for the camera and decided to purchase this Fujifilm Long Eyecup. It was easy to remove the old one by pushing/sliding the eyecup piece up. I slid the new one down until I heard it "lock" into place. There is a huge difference between the original/included and this long eyecup version especially when I'm wearing my eyeglasses. It works perfectly and the new eyecup actually helps brace my glasses against the camera. I don't get my nose smudges on the LCD screen anymore. It sits up a bit higher than the original and is definitely more comfortable when using the camera.

Yes, its true that Fuji should have included this eyecup as part of the X-T1 camera. I can't state why that is not the case, as it really (from the Fuji point of view) not very expensive at all to produce. But the impact it makes on the sue of the camera is significant. Although not a perfect solution (some reviewers report that it is not very useful, for example, if you are a vertical shooter, and a few that the item comes off too easily), it is a very good addition to the X-T1 camera that can be used with or without glasses due to its soft construction. It also helps cut down some of the light when you are shooting with the viewfinder outdoors. Am I miffed that I need to purchase this $15 part when it really should have come with the camera? Maybe a little bit, but the price is reasonable and the functionality it adds is significant, not to mention good construction quality (it is an authentic Fuji part that comes packaged in the stylized black Fuji black box). Five stars, and highly recommended for the X-T1 shooter.NOTE: If you think you are even vaguely interested in this, and it shows as "in stock," GRAB IT, because I have seen this part go in and out of stock over the past year.

this is a MUST for the XT-1. it's what should have came with the camera in the first place. the original eye cup barely protruded from the camera. this forced me to jam my brow into the viewfinder, which became uncomfortable very quickly.this "long" eye cup isn't actually all the long; i wish it extended a bit farther. it's more like the "normal" eye cups that come on Nikon and Canon DSLRs. but it's the only option we have for the XT-1 AFAIK. at least until a third-party comes out with a better one.also, if you want to compare i uploaded pics of the normal vs the extended/long versions. normal is on the left, long version on the right:http://i.imgur.com/meZrF2L.jpg?1http://i.imgur.com/CYFbqSG.jpg?1
